Hi, I'm Daniel
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
About Me
I am 25 years old and have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for my whole life. I was married two years ago and my wife and I are the proud parents of a 1 year old little boy. I am currently attending Law School in Phoenix Arizona and am excited to see what the future holds.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born into a family that has been in the church for many generations. I was taught since I was quite young the principles of the gospel and about the restoration of the true church of Jesus Christ to the Earth. I always believed what I was taught, but I didn't know for myself until I was a little bit older.
When I was about 17 a friend began asking me questions about the Church and eventually he began talking with the missionaries in my home. When the time came for me to answer some questions and to bare my testimony, I realized that if I was going to testify that the Church was true that I needed to know - not only believe - that the Church was true. I began to read the Book of Mormon again and to pray each night if the Church and what the missionaries were teaching was true. As I did this many thoughts came to my mind and the Book of Mormon just made so much sense to me. Then, one night as I was kneeling and praying I had an overwhelming feeling of peace and happiness which filled my mind and my heart. From that point on I knew that the Church was true and I was able to testify with more confidence that the Church was true. I am now 25 and my testimony has continued to grow over the years. I served a mission and saw miracles, and now that I am married and have a one year old little boy, I am determined to have a home where the spirit of the Lord will reside and where my children will be able to feel that their Heavenly Father loves them.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?
Church missions are very important. The purpose of a mission is to invite people to come unto Christ by living according to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the Earth and that it is very important for people to have the opportunity to find out of themselves if it is true. Members of the Church have the opportunity to serve a variety of different missions. Some are 18 months, others are 24 months and there are others that are up to three years. When I was 19 I was able to serve a mission in Bolivia for the Church for two years. It was a great experience. Because they speak Spanish in Bolivia I spent 9 weeks at a missionary training center to learn the basics of Spanish and then I was sent to Bolivia to begin teaching our message to those who were willing to listen. The first few months were difficult as I could barely communicate with the people that I was trying to teach. However, my companions who I served with were able to help me a lot because they were native Spanish speakers. After awhile the language became more natural and I was able to fluently communicate our message and better help people. I grew to love the people of Bolivia and their culture. I was able to witness many miracles. I saw many people change their lives as they learned about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, pray to find out if it was true, and eventually be baptized. I wouldn't trade the two years that I spent in Bolivia for anything and I am truly grateful that the Church gives it's members the opportunity to preach the gospel throughout the world.
How I live my faith
I was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years and it was a wonderful experience. I was able to see people change their lives by living according to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I visit families and individuals who live in my neighborhood to share a message with them and to help them with any needs that they might have.
