Hi, I'm Kelly Ann
I'm an amatuer entomologist, artist and I love being a mother of 5, I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My days are filled with taking care of 4 children with one on the way and my eternal sweetheart. I am happy to be home and be there for them. I am very interested in biology, especially entomology (insects), love to crochet and sew, & I'm teaching myself to knit. I paint and sketch; I have entered a few art contests and enjoy art. One day I would like to teach a children's art class. I used to dance and would love to take more classes. I graduated from a university with a bachelors in conservation biology, I'm planning on going back one day to continue my education. I feel each day is a day to learn & my little family has taught me so much.
Why I am a Mormon
I know that my Father in Heaven is aware of me and that he loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He loves me, too. I feel their love every day, even when I don't feel like I deserve it. I know that we have a living prohet and apostles who hold the authority and power of the priesthood. I know that Heavenly Father guides us through these great men, as well as through personal revelation. I know that He hears my prayers. He wants us to succeed and return to Him with our families. I am so grateful for His help and love.
Personal Stories
How has the Holy Ghost helped you?
It took me a long time to recognize how the Holy Ghost speaks to me and helps me. I found the answer in Galatians 5:22. It just took practice acitng on the promptings and faith to help me become more confident in following the feelings and whisperings that I recieved.
As a mother of 4 young children I don't often get reflection or quiet time and I have found that the Spirit works with me as I can recieve it in that time of my life. I will be helping a child through a difficult moment and I feel a sense of peace help me not lose my patience or temper and often an idea on how to difuse the situation and make it a teaching moment for me & the children.
Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.
I admire his courage to seek out the truth and stick to it once he found it. He faced a lot of adversity. His family faced so much adversity, but he knew that it was true. He kept an eternal perspective, knowing the gospel would bless the lives of us all. I'm grateful for his sacrifices and for his example to me.
How I live my faith
I'm new to my calling in the Relief Society. Relief Society is an organization for the sisters in the ward. I have the opportunity to serve them by organizing addition weekday meetings to teach new skills, provide humanitarian service and help them enrich their lives & strengthen their testimonies in their Savior. I worked in the primary previously and I miss it. I loved working with the children. I felt it gave me an opportunity to get to know these awesome little people better. I love having opportunities to serve and will go where the Lord would need me.
