Corey: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Corey

I have served in the military for a number of years. I am a Latter day Saint.

About Me

I have been happily married for 17 years. We have 6 beautiful and wonderful children. I have been an Infantryman in the Army for several years. I love mountain biking, hiking, camping, shooting, basketball and playing with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon mainly because I beleive that I need to live up to higher standards every day. Everyday I get the opportunity to try to be a better person. I love that this Church teaches that God expects me to be the same Monday through Friday as I am at Church on Sunday. The number one reason I am a Mormon is because of how we have the ability to live forever as a complete family. my wife and I are not married for the time we are alive. our kids are with us forever and we can continue to know and love and enjoy each other far beyond now.

Personal Stories

How has attending Church services helped you?

Before I became a member of this Church, I thought that religion was fine at home. It wasn't until I was baptized into the mormon Church that I found out how little I knew of my Heavenly Father and His Son. Of course I had to read and study the Book of Morn=mon to understand all it had for me, but my Bible knowledge was horrible. Personal scripture study is vital, but learning in a group setting with those who are preparing lessons, questions, etc is an excellent resource. We go to school because we learn more than we can on our own at home. We also get to be around others who feel the same as we do. That has been a tremendous strength. To know that others struggle. To know that others survive. To know that others try, try and try.

How I live my faith

I am the Mission leader in my ward. That means that I work for the Bishop in coordinating the efforts of the members and full-time missionaries. I enjoy every day leading our family in prayer and striving to do good. This Spring I am organizing a 5K race to help benefit the local Food Bank. I love to help out wherever and whenever I can. One great joy is to go camping with our Boy Scouts. They are such a joy to be around and their leaders are amazing men.
