I am striving to be a humble follower of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am a Southern California woman who is a wife and mother of two children. My family loves the sun and the water. For us, there is nothing better than a water skiing and wake boarding adventure to brighten our week. We have spent many hours on the lake creating lasting bonds and many happy memories together. Because family is very important to me, I love to do Family History research. I also love studying and learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My favorite callings in Church have always involved "teaching".

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a member of His church, I have learned the plan my Heaven Father has for me and how to implement that plan into my daily living. This allows me to become a better person and, as a daughter of God, strive to live up to my potential. I also believe being a member of an organization entitles one to receive all the rights, privileges, and blessings that coincide with that membership. The blessings I receive by showing obedience to the Lord by following His commandments, and sacrificing my will to align with His, are far greater than anything that is required of me.

I love being a Mormon because I know it is part of Heavenly Father's plan for me to return to live with Him again.

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

I love the Prophet Joseph Smith. I love the pattern that he gave to us for receiving answers to prayers. He had a question and desired an answer. He had faith that he would receive that answer and that faith motivated him to act. Calling upon the Lord in prayer he believed he would gain the desire of his heart.

The Lord did answer the prayer of Joseph Smith and gave him a special work to do. It is because of that work that I know and understand the Lord's plan for me now too.

Joseph Smith exercised faith and the principle of repentance, was baptized, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. He progressed in the gospel the same way we all do. Like the Savior Himself, he showed us the way back to the Father.

I love Joseph Smith because Joseph Smith loved the Lord.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church I have been allowed the blessing of serving others because of the jobs I have been asked to do. One of my favorite callings I have received is to work in a Young Single Adult Branch of The Church with my husband. The Young Single Adults are a group that ranges in age from 18 to 30. Both their enthusiasm and testimonies are great and inspire me to grow in every way. Serving the Lord, by serving His children, has not only proven to be rewarding, but fun at the same time.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Eternal life is a life without beginning or end, therefore it is labeled "eternal" or forever. For me this not only means I lived before I came to this earth, but it means that I will live again after my life on this earth is over. This doctrine is one of comfort and peace to me. It allows me to work on becoming a better person each day, as my understanding of progression is one of an eternal nature. I realize that forever is a very long time, and that is how long it will take for me to reach my potential as a child of Heavenly parents.
