About Me

I am married to my perfect match. The most exhilarating thing I've ever done is skydiving. My dad is in the Army, so I have always been very patriotic. I speak Spanish fluently and I LOVE to travel. I also enjoy participating in humanitarian efforts.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents converted to Mormonism in their teens. They taught us the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ as they raised us. As a teenager, I recognized the need to decide on my own what I believed. I came to know that the things my parents taught me were true and that by living what I knew to be true, I would be sincerely happy. That has been the case my whole life.

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

Jesus Christ came to Earth and taught His Gospel and gave his Apostles the priesthood. The pure truth of that message and the priesthood were both lost with the death of those Apostles. God promised to restore that truth and priesthood again one day and he did so through the Prophet Joseph Smith in the early 19th century. I know that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and that we need a prophet, a mouthpiece, on Earth to help us know God's will concerning us, His children. I know that His prophet today is Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I am the activities coordinator for the women of our congregation. I help organize service projects and mini-classes on how to strengthen each other, our families, and our community.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Men and women have been given different responsibilities by God. Women work together with the men who hold the priesthood, to make decisions and serve those in their stewardship.

Women don't hold the priesthood in the church, as this is a teaching that has come from Jesus Christ. However, women have such a significant role to play in the church that personally I have never felt that this is an issue I am concerned with or even think about. My husband and I are equal partners in our family, and the church has such respect and reverence for women and their role in the world. Women in the church also belong to what is called the 'Relief Society' it is one of the largest women's organisation in the world, and fills me with such a desire to serve and do good that when we meet together wherever I am in the world I feel so proud to be apart of it.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

You definitely can learn about the Gospel of Christ (Faith, Repentence, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End) from the missionaries and then follow the steps to apply these in your life. When you truly live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will do this thorugh the proper preisthood authority of God. A natural consequence is becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
