Kenneth Hazen: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Kenneth Hazen

I am a scientist and lawyer AND I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a scientist (PhD in Chemistry) and a lawyer, yet despite all my schooling and secular knowledge, I know God is real and lives. Indeed all the science I understand shows to me The handiwork of a divine creator, God. I am a father and step father. One game I love to play with my own children as well as the Boy scouts, is to discuss how EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in nature bares testimony of Jesus Christ; from the re-birth of life after winter to the formation of diamonds from carbon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I took the challenge given in Moroni 10:3 of the Book of Mormon and asked God the Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ if the words contained therein where true, meaning they were written by the hands of his chosen prophets, and translated by His power through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and I was blessed to know in my heart and mind they are of God.

Personal Stories

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

I have been blessed with an understanding of math and science and the ability to make complex problems seem simple. I know this is a blessing from God and try to use these talents to assist others. I seek for opportunities to tutor (for free) students in need of help and to answer life's questions as they relate to science and God.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

I want to be a better man each day, a better father, husband, friend, employee and disciple of Christ. Morning prayer allows me to speak with my Heavenly Father and set goals on how to be better "today" at serving others. Prayer each night allows me to examine how well I did at serving others. I essence, prayer is a time to commune with my Father in heaven and seek his guidance in my life and my goal to be better than what I now am.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I offer free tutoring to ANYONE in chemistry, math, physics, french and of course Christianity. I try to be available to help my neighbors with yard work and home repairs. I offer to mow lawns and clear snow for the elderly and widowed in my area. In short, I try to live as a disciple of Christ, in service of any in need thereof.
