Hi, I'm Travis
I'm a husband, father, and foster dad. I'm an engineer and manager. I'm an photographer and love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a husband and father of four beautiful children. We love to spend time together and have fun. We like to read books, go swimming, jump on the trampoline, and just about anything else as long as we are together.
I have a bachelor's degree in engineering and have an MBA. I work full time and enjoy my job.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I know this is the church that Jesus Christ has establish on the earth. I know that because my wife and I where married in the temple we can be a family after this life. This is very important to me. Our first child passed away after only three short hours of life. I know there is life after the grave and that I will be able to see my son again.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons go on missions?
I served the Lord by serving a mission in Chile. I served that mission at my own expense so that others can know that Jesus has established a church on the earth, that he has called a prophet, and that all are welcome to join His church.
How I live my faith
My faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint is very important to me and truly defines my lifestyle. I love attending church on Sunday's and participating in other activities. My son and I recently went on a Fathers and Sons overnight camp out with the other fathers and their sons that are members of our congregation. It was a lot of fun. Everyone had a great time and I strengthened my relationship with my son.
Teaching the gospel to my children is very important to me. We are fortunate that my wife does not have to work. She takes time everyday to teach gospel messages to our children. We also have family scripture reading everyday and daily family prayer. One a week we have a time were we get together and sign hymns and my wife or I give a short lesson (our kids are still small). It is very important to me to have my children to be constantly hearing the messages of the gospel so that can choose to do the right in a world where they have pressures on all sides to do wrong.
