Sarah B: Mom, Georgia, Married, Kids, Mormon.

Hi, I'm Sarah B

I'm a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in Athens, Georgia from the time I was born until just over 4 years ago when I moved to Eldersburg, Maryland. I met my husband in college and I truly enjoy being married to my very best friend. We have two boys and two girls and they are quite a lively bunch! I enjoy blogging, cooking and being at home with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When the missionaries taught me I immediately knew the Gospel was true. The things I had been taught before about God didn't make sense to me. When the missionaries taught me about the Plan of Salvation I knew that they were speaking the truth. I read the Book of Mormon and said many, many prayers before getting baptized. I knew I was making the right choice. I was baptized almost 11 years ago and living the Gospel has blessed my life tremendously. I have learned about Jesus Christ and I am still learning to follow Him. I have learned to expect answers to my prayers and miracles in my life. I have been strengthened through life's disappointments because I know that Heavenly Father loves me and gives me trials so that my faith can grow, not to punish me. I am continually overwhelmed by the blessings that are showered down on me as I strive to be like the Savior and love others as He did.

How I live my faith

In my congregation I am currently serving as the secretary in the Relief Society which is the women's organization in the church. It is my job to keep track of the all the sisters and their needs. It can be quite a challenge to keep up with everyone but I love it! In my home I live my faith by seeking inspiration from prayer, guidance from the Holy Ghost and peace from my testimony of the Atonement and my Heavenly Father's love for me. In our home we study the scriptures as a family and pray together daily. I try to teach my children to be kind, loving, and forgiving. I make plenty of mistakes but each day I try to be better than I was the day before.
