Hi, I'm Paige
I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a Mormon.
About Me
I am a stay at home Mom to my fun 4 year old boy and my sweet 20 month old girl. They keep me on the go and continually learning and growing. My husband and I met in college, where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education. I enjoy writing, reading, playing sports, and especially spending time with my family. We love playing games, going on walks, and simply spending time doing anything together.
A few years back I had the opportunity to go on a humanitarian trip to Kenya and hope to go back some day. It was an amazing experience. I was humbled and learned so much there. I still hope to one day hold a monkey, see fire flies in person, and publish a children's book. But I mostly hope to be there for my family and raise righteous children. On with the journey! :)
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints makes me happy, gives me guidance, and is leading me back to Christ. I have felt the Spirit testify to me the this Church is true. It brings me peace. I am a Mormon because I love the Lord and I want to make it back to Him.
Personal Stories
Could you talk about your baptism?
I was baptized when I turned 8 years old. I don't remember a lot from that special day. But recently as I prepared a lesson on baptism I had a few memories brought back to me. I remember that I was not sure where to go to get into the water so I started to walk into the bathroom. I remember I was a little nervous. I quickly saw my Dad in the water waving me on and felt relieved.
I don't remember how I felt when I came out of the water but as I sang this song while preparing for my lesson I was reminded that it was sung on my baptism day and that I felt the Spirit as it was sung. I felt the Spirit as I sang the words to myself this time as well
When I Am Baptized
1. I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
And ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.
2. I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away,
And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.
Chorus
I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain.
I want to be the best I can and live with God again.
How I live my faith
My faith in Jesus Christ and my membership in the Church effects and guides every aspect of my life. It helps me determine how I spend my time. It helps me recognize the need for change and improvement. I try to live my faith each and everyday and improve myself. Everyday we pray and read scriptures personally and with our family. I try to keep the Spirit in our home and do little things to help us grow.
My husband serves with the the boys ages 12-18 and I teach the women (ages 18+) at our Sunday meetings. I teach from a book that contains many of the basic principles of the Gospel. It has been a wonderful experience for both of us and we have grown so much.
