I grew up in Utah. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 25-year old single Return Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love to Laugh. I love people, doing hair, photography, camping, anything crafty. I love to take old, beat up furniture and transform it into beautiful functional pieces. I absolutely love being a Member of this church. I haven't always been faithful to the teachings and have noticed a signifigant difference in my life now that I do.
I am a very happy person and know that living the Gospel is the only way to find true happiness in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness and testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that my Father in Heaven loves all of his Children and directs us today as he has in all Dispensations of the gospel. He has restored his gospel to the Earth and I know that he will continue to call Prophets, Apostles, seers and revelators. I am a Mormon because it is the only true and lasting way to find joy and peace on this Earth. I am a Mormon, because someone believed in me and the Gospel of Jesus Christ enough to remind me that "there is always Hope." No matter what we have done, there IS always hope through the Lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in the Young Women's program. This is a program for Girls between the ages 12-18. I love serving these beautiful Young Women. They are the Mothers of the next generation. They have so much potential. The Young Women's program allows them to develop their talents and character. I help them in any way that I can. We teach and have activities every week ranging from camping skills to learning about women in the scriptures, to just getting together for ice cream and laughs.
I read the scriptures daily and pray to my Father in Heaven. I KNOW that he hears and answers my prayers.
He is there and will listen to you too.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are sacred. They are the House of the Lord dedicated to doing necessary ordinances for the Living and the Dead. We can stand in vicariously for our ancestors and do works for them that they couldn't do for themselves while they were on the Earth. The Temple is one of the most peaceful places on Earth. I love the Temple. I love serving in the Temple and gain great peace while serving within its walls.

They are peaceful, pure places, where only those who have committed to live the most discipled lives can go to ponder and pray. They are places where we learn about God's plan for all of humanity, and where we promise to do all in our power to help all of His children, and receive promises that we can be with Him as well. We wear white clothing that is simple, and remove our watches and bling, to demonstrate a willingness to let go of our day-to-day concerns to focus on the real things: people, and their worth to God.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

This issue is one that is rife with misunderstanding to outsiders. First, let me say here that we love and accept all of God's children, regardless of beliefs. That being said, we affirm that the central purpose of life is to make and keep covenants in a family relationship. By extension that means bringing children into the world, born in loving families with both a father and a mother.

We believe that our genders are an essential aspect of our eternal identities, that we were male and female even before we came to this earth. Neither sex is more important than the other; both serve the purpose of God to save His children. Both priesthood and motherhood are essential in the rearing of children.

I myself am unspeakably grateful for the blessing of having both a loving father and mother. They each supported me in different ways, unique to their identity as a man and a woman.
