Chat With a Mormon Online
I have been a Latter-day Saint for over 22 years. I am happily married for over 17 years with 3 wonderful children we call the 3 Mac Kids. I have been a high school business education teacher for over 17 years. I enjoy and love the privilege of making a difference in the lives of high school students. I am thankful that my family immigrated from the Philippines to America. To think that an immigrant who was born and lived in one of the poorest neighborhoods of the Philippines has the privilege and honor to teach high school students each and every day is an awesome experience! I love technology and love what we can do to learn so much. I thoroughly enjoy utilizing the smartphone for learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I can read it, listen to it, and obtain valuable information to help me be a smarter and better me. My Personal Value Statements: 1.The greatest work we will ever do is within the walls of our home! 2.I am committed to making a difference in people in a positive way! 3.People are more important than things! 4.I believe in giving a HAND-Up NOT a handout! 5.Don’t have a great day; MAKE It A GREAT DAY! 6.In Life: Don't just do It! MAKE IT HAPPEN!
I am a Mormon because of the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of JESUS CHRIST. This is what caught my eye many many years ago. I thought to myself, if this book is another Testament of Jesus Christ, I want to know more if it spoke of the same Jesus I knew about in the New Testament. So, I read it with faith that God would reveal to me if this is the same Christ of the New Testament. My conclusion is obvious - It was! This is why I have been a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints for over 20 years. I am so thankful beyond the measure of gratitude that I am a Latter-day Saint and found the Jesus of the Book of Mormon to be the same Jesus of the Bible. I have felt of the presence of the Holy Ghost and the influence in my life! I know that God lives; that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world. I know that Joseph Smith Jr. was the Prophet of the Restoration because I know and studied for myself the Book of Mormon. It is the word of God and it brings a man or woman nearer to God than any other holy book. I know that the Priesthood of God has been restored in preparation for the Second coming of the Lord. We have prophets and Apostles that are here upon the earth leading and guiding the children of men; if they but listen to the Lord's anointed. God the Father, and His beloved Son appeared to the boy/prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and from then on...the world has received the fulness of the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ. It matters not, whether a man or woman believes the Book of Mormon or not; what matters most is that we read, study, ponder and pray on the contents contained within the Book of Mormon and live by its teachings, when we do so, we will know for ourselves that it is from God by the power of the Holy Ghost.
The two greatest commandments which are to love the Lord thy God with all the might, mind, strength, and with all thine heart; next, love thy neighbor as thyself. It's that simple. If we love God with all the energies of our heart, learn of his ways, and do as much good to all who we come across. This is the way the truth and the light - to come unto Christ and be perfected in him. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world! It is the truth of the teachings of jesus Christ that allow me to be free of what man can do. I love the words of the Savior when he said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments". Moreover, the Lord has said that "ye shall know them by their fruits". It is the fruits of the good that we can extend to others because of the good that God has given us through his only begotten son, even Jesus Christ. Amen.
The most important part of my life is living the teachings of Jesus Christ. Although I fall short of the glory of God, I know that my Redeemer lives! He loves me and I believe his teachings when he admonished us to "Love thy neighbor as thyself'. How can one believe in Christ and not do as he taught. I believe in being a doer of the word not only a hearer. And, thus, I am grateful to Him who died for each of us so that we may live again and return to our heavenly home. Because of my faith, I am eager to make a difference in people in a positive way. I love to uplift, edify, and exhort others to being the best they can be. One of the most wonderful experiences that has lit a fire of passion in my teaching career is being a lead advisor for the No Cussing Club at my high school. It is a wonderful because our motto: "Clean language, Clean campus, Clean and Respectful classrooms". Whatever I do, where ever I go, I just want to make a difference in people and help them realize that we all can be better than we are the day before. I am committed to making it a great day each and every day of my life!
