About Me

I'm an interior designer and a piano teacher. I'm an aunt, daughter, niece and granddaughter. I've been a member of the church for my whole life. I love to create things! I love making things beautiful, whether it's in my interior design, making cards or sharing my musical abilities with others.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad passed away when I was little, and through my faith I know that I can be with him again. I have always worked to stay true, so I can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. Through service and following Christ's example brings happiness and a greater perspective of everything I face.

Personal Stories

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

A friend has said to me that she loves talking to me when she's stressed, because I have a different outlook on life. My outlook is different, because I have faith in Jesus Christ. Through my faith in Him, I know that He has been through it all, and He knows how I feel. Whenever I'm struggling with anything, I know that He understands, and knowing that makes a world of difference!

How I live my faith

I have personal scripture study and personal prayers daily, where I can commune with my Heavenly Father. I attend sunday services, and work with the young women ages 12-18 in our area, attending activities with them and occassionally teaching them lessons.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

We believe that we can be reunited together forever as family, throughout all generations. Life doesn't end when we die, we live in Heaven. We will live with our Father in Heaven and our eldest brother, Jesus Christ.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Latter Day Saints(Mormons) donate 10% of their income to the church because the Lord has commanded us too! In Proverbs 3:9 it says, "Honour the Lord with substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase." This is talking about tithing, tithing literally means one-tenth, which is 10%. So when the Lord commands us to donate one-tenth of our increase(income) that is what we do. If you look at Malachi 3:8-10 you will see that the Lord is asking for us to give him our tithes (10%) and in return he will open the windows of Heaven and pour out blessings, so many that we won't be able to contain them. Wouldn't you want to receive innumerable blessings for just giving Him 10% of your pay check? It seems like a pretty fair trade to me.
