About Me

I've been happily married for over six years to my best friend and the proud father of two wonderful children around whom my life revolves. I spend my spare time with my family, watching college football, cooking, jogging, biking and lifting weights. The rest of the time, I'm a lawyer.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the impact living the gospel has had on my life and on the lives of those around me. I can't answer every question someone might have, but I know how living the gospel makes me feel. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

The best way I can explain it is this:
I can feel a marked difference in my life for the better when I am reading the Book of Mormon on a regular basis as compared to when I am not. I can't answer every question about the book, but I know its true, and no book has ever made me feel closer to God than the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making it a part of my daily life. There is no compartmentalizing the gospel to separate it from my work, social, or family life. I do my best to make it a part of how I treat myself and others.
My faith has given me the opportunity to serve a variety of groups and individuals in a variety of capacities and has forever changed the way I view others for the better.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Equal partners in everything. We may each have our roles, and those roles may change over time, but I am convinced that a marriage can't be successful if it is not an equal partnership.

The role of husband and wife in the family is to first and foremost love each other! Wow, revolutionary!!!
I have found that when there is love and complete commitment between my husband and I, there is no problem that we cannot face together. It is much easier to teach the children with love and to handle life's challenges.
My husband and I are equals. I feel loved, respected, and appreciated by him. I hope he feels the same things from me.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The power to create children is very sacred. Our Father in Heaven has commanded that the sacred power and privilege of sexual relations be exercised only between a man and woman who are legally married. This is the law of chastity. It means that we must not have sexual relations before we are married, and after we are married we should have sexual relations only with our husband or wife.

Keeping the law of chastity brings safety, happiness, peace, and self-respect. It also deepens married love and protects families. Breaking this law is serious. But those who have broken it can gain forgiveness and peace through repentance and obedience.

God wants the best for you and for all of His children. Following God’s plan of reserving intimacy for marriage will help you and your family be happy.
