Dorothy: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Dorothy

I'm a receptionist/ travel coordinator from Los Angeles, CA. I love movies, art history and my husband and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am recently graduated from college and working in Human Resources. My husband and I enjoy being outside together and just spending time together in general.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it's God's church. Also because it makes me so happy to know where I came from before I lived on this Earth and where I will go after. The peace that the gospel brings into my life is nothing like anything else I've found. I love the church and the gospel.

Personal Stories

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

I can't even begin to describe how much the Holy Ghost has helped me in decisions that I have had to make in my life. Whenever i needed help or didn't know what to do, I knew that i could rely on the Holy Ghost to help me make the right decisions.

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I share the gospel with my friends because it makes me so happy and I want them to share in my happiness too. I know how it feels to not know these things and I want everyone to be able to know how it feels to know.

Could you talk about your baptism?

I was baptized when I was 8 years old by my father. It was a great experience and I knew then and know now that it was the right decision and one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

When I was 15 years old, I decided that I had to find out for myself if the church was really true. I had been raised in it and always felt like it was, but I wanted to know for sure. My brother had a CD of the story of Joseph Smith's 1st vision acted out on it, so i decided to listen to that. I listened a few times, then finally knelt down to pray and ask God Himself if it was true. When i did, the sweetest feeling came into my heart and I knew that what I had heard was true. It may seem unbelievable to some, but that doesn't change the fact that it is true. It really happened.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best me I can be and try to do what God wants me to do. I try to serve others around me.
