About Me
Right now I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm serving my mission in Mexico, and I am so blessed that the Lord chose me to go there. I am also a member of the Central Band of Cherokee, and my faith in the Book of Mormon has been strengthened by the oral history that our tribe has about the Savior visiting the Americas, just after His ascension into Heaven after His Resurrection. I know that this is the true church. I love you all, brothers and sisters.
¡Hola! Soy misionero de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días. Ahorita estoy en el hermoso país de México. He vivido en muchas partes de los EE UU. Soy miembro también del Grupo Central de los Cheroqui. Mi testimonio y fe del Libro de Mormón se han fortelecido por la historia tradicional que la tribu mía tiene del Salvador visitando las américas, justo después de Su Resurrección.. Yo sé que esta iglesia es la Iglesia de Jesucristo, la única iglesia verdadera y viviente. ¡Les amo, mis hermanos y mis hermanas!
Why I am a Mormon
I'm a Mormon because the Church gives me a feeling of peace, and a sense of purpose and happiness. It has a good spirit, and it helps me live a better life. I have also received a clear answer to my prayers, confirming that what I have learned is true. That is all that I need to be convinced of the validity and the divinity of this one true and living Church.
Soy mormón porque la iglesia me da un sentimiento de la paz, y un sentido de felicidad y propósito. Hay un espíritu bonito, y me ayuda a vivir de una manera mejor. También he recibido una respuesta clara a mis oraciones, confirmando que lo que he aprendido es verdad. Éso es todo lo que necesito yo para estar convencido de la veracidad y la divinidad de esta única iglesia verdadera y viviente.

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?
The Book of Mormon has brought me closer to God by helping me understand the Bible. Like the Book of Mormon says on its Title Page, it is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon answers any question that you could ever have. The only thing that you have to do is read it to find the answer. The Book of Mormon brings me closer to Heavenly Father every time that I read it.
El Libro de Mormón me ha acercado más a Dios por ayudarme a entender la Biblia. Ésto es porque El Libro de Mormón, como dice en el Título, es Otro Testamento de Jesucristo. El Libro de Mormón les contesta todas preguntas que pudieran tener. La única cosa que nesecitan hacer es leerlo para encontrar las respuestas que se necesitan. El Libro de Mormón me trae más cerca al Padre Celestial cada vez que yo lo leyo.
What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?
To strengthen the family that I have now, and the family that I will have in the future, I now serve as a missionary of Jesus Christ, and teach His Restored Gospel. You may ask, "How does this effect your family?" Well, in order to teach more and more effectively, I have to keep learning more and more about our Savior every day. The more I learn about the Savior, and the more that I try to follow His example in the way I live my life, the better I'll become as a person, as a friend, as a son, and one day, as a father.
Para fortalecer a mi familia que yo tengo ahora, y tambien a la familia que yo tendré en el futuro, yo sirvo como misionero de Jesucristo, y tambien enseño Su Evangelio Restorado. Quizás me preguntará, "Como fortaleces a tu familia?" Pues, para enseñar mas eficazmente, necesito aprender continuamente sobre nuestro Salvador todos los días. Si aprendo más del Salvador, y si trato de seguir Su ejemplo en la manera que yo vivo, yo llegaré a ser un hombre mejor como amigo, como hijo, y algún día, como padre.
How does making right choices help us make more right choices?
Making wrong choices over and over again can turn our lives into routines of fear, pain, and anger. But if we choose to make a right choice, and keep choosing, that turns into a pattern of righteousness. Making a right choice isn't always easy. We all know that. But there's a principle of the church called "enduring to the end". What this means is that, through good or bad, thick or thin, we endure in making the best decisions that we can. I can say that it is difficult to make a right choice, especially if one's not used to making one. I can also say that the more right decisions are made, the more easy it becomes, and the more happiness one will have in one's life.
Escoger hacer lo malo puede traer rutinas malas a nuestras vidas. Estas rutinas pueden traernos miedo, dolor, e ira. Estas cosas arruinan nuestras vidas, y llegamos a ser personas tristes. Pero, si escogemos hacer lo bueno, esas rutinas se vuelven modelos de justicia. El escoger hacer lo bueno es no fácil siempre. Todos lo sabemos. Pero, hay un principio de la Iglesia que se le llama "perseverar hasta el fin." Significa que, por bueno o malo, seguimos adelante tomando las decisiones mejores que podemos escoger. Puedo decir que es difícil escoger hacer lo bueno, especialmente si uno no está acostumbrado a hacerlo. También puedo decir que si tomamos más decisiones buenas, llegará a ser más facil para nosotros, y también tendremos más felicidad en nuestra vida.
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
Prayer is extremely important to me, because it is a direct communication between me and my Heavenly Father. It is a way for me to express my gratitude, and also a way for me to ask for help to know or to overcome the things in my life that I may be struggling with. I know that whenever I'm going through trials and tribulations in my life, God doesn't fix them right away. He listens to me first. And then He allows me to exercise the faith that He will help me. And that is why it is important for me to pray.
La oración es bien importante para mí, porque es una comunicación directa entre mi Padre Celestial y yo. Es la manera para expresar mi gratitud, y también para pedirle ayuda a saber o superar las dificultades en mi vida. Sé que cuando tengo tribulaciónes en mi vida, Dios no las arregla de una vez. Primero, Él me escucha. Y después de eso, me permite ejercer la fe en que Él me ayudará. Y esta es la razón por la cual me es importante orar.
How has the Holy Ghost helped you?
I remember I was at camp for boy scouts. I was heading back to my campsite, and I got lost. I did not know what to do. I was in the middle of the woods in the night time by myself. After walking for a little bit, I decided to get down on my knees and pray. I asked, "Heavenly Father, I am lost, and I need Your help. Can you help me get back to where I'm supposed to be?" I heard a voice. It said, "Start walking." I did not know which way to go, so I just went the way that I was already facing. I eventually came upon a road, and had a distinct impression that I should follow it, and so I did. Within two hours of walking along the road, my Stake President drove by, saw me, and took me back to camp. Of the 800-900 people, my Stake President picked me up. I know that the Holy Ghost prompted me to walk to that road. And I know that Heavenly Father loves me enough to have guided me to safety.
Yo recuerdo una vez cuando yo estaba en los Boy Scouts, estaba acampando. Fui caminando al campamento, y yo me perdí. Yo no supe qué lo que yo debía hacer. Yo estaba en un lugar desconocido durante la noche solito. Después de caminar por un poco de tiempo, yo decidí arrodillarme y orar a mi Padre Celestial. Le dije, "Padre Celestial, estoy perdido, y necesito Tu ayuda. ¿Me ayudarás a regresar a mi grupo?" Yo oí una voz, que dijo, "Anda." Yo no sabía qué camino tomar, así que empecé a caminar por delante. Eventualmente, yo encontré una calle, y sentí que debía seguirla, entonces lo hice. Dentro de dos horas de caminando por la calle, mi presidente de estaca me pasó en su coche. Me vio, y me llevó al campamento. De 800-900 personas en en bosque, fui yo que él encontró. Sé que el Espíritu Santo me inspiró a caminar por aquella calle. Yo sé que mi Padre Celestial me ama lo suficiente para haberme guiado a la seguridad.
Why do Mormons go on missions?
We mormons serve in the mission of the Lord because we have something wonderful in our lives, and it's something that we want to share with all of Heavenly Father's children. I am serving a mission right now, and I am teaching all of the things that bring me happiness. I know that I am extremely blessed to be a Mormon and that I will be extremely blessed in sharing this gift with all who will hear it from me. And I know that my friends and family will benefit from me going on a mission as well.
Vamos a servir en la misión del Señor porque tenemos algo maravilloso en nuestras vidas, y es algo que queremos compartir con todos los hijos de nuestro Padre Celestial. Sirvo ahorita en una mision, y estoy enseñando todas las cosas que me dan felicidad. Sé que soy bendecido por ser Santo de los Últimos Días y que yo seré más bendecido por haber compartido este don con todos que me escuchan. Y sé que mis amigos y mi familia se beneficiarán por haberme ido a la misión tambien.
Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.
I know that Joseph Smith, Jr., was indeed a true prophet of God. Jesus Christ restored His true church by way of Joseph Smith, and I know it to be true. He did the Lord's work and by so doing, has helped all of us to know and have the fullness of the everlasting gospel. His name has been had for good and for bad throughout the nations, and he sealed his work and his testimony with martyrdom, with his very blood. And thanks to him, we can know the will of the Lord, and what He has in store for us.
Sé que José Smith, hijo, fue profeta de Dios de verdad. Jesucristo restauró Su Iglesia Verdadera mediante José Smith. Él llevó a cabo la obra del Señor y al hacerlo, nos ha ayudado a todos a tener y a conocer la plenitud del evangelio sempiterno. Su nombre se ha juzgado por bueno y por malo en todas las naciones, y él selló su ministerio y testimonio con martirio, sí, con su propia sangre. Y gracias a él, podemos conocer la voluntad del Señor, y lo que Él tiene preparado para nosotros.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by teaching others about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can help their lives become better physically, spiritually, and mentally. I teach these things by inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repentence, Baptism, Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
Vivo mi fe al enseñar a otros de la manera que el Evangelio de Jesucristo puede ayudarles a hacer que su vida llegue a ser mejor física, mental, y espiritualmente. Enseño estas cosas al invitar a las personas a venir a Cristo ayudándoles a que reciban el Evangelio Restaurado mediante la fe en Jesucristo y Su Expiación, el arrepentimiento, el bautismo, la recepción del don del Espíritu Santo, y el perseverar hasta el fin.
