I'm a DJ, a JV Soccer Coach and a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family. Especially my three newphews. I love serving others and have gained a stronger testimony of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as I have served in church callings. I enjoy working on my family history. I love to play and coach soccer and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at the age of 19. I have always wanted to be with my family forever. When the missionaries taught me that someday I can be with my family forever I wanted to learn more. Everything the missionaries taught me felt right and familiar. When I finally prayed with real intent and a broken heart I knew without a shadow of a doubt that everything they taught me was true and there was no other option than to be baptized and become a Mormon.

Personal Stories

Could you talk about your baptism?

My baptism was one of the greatest days of my life! I remember beforehand contemplating all my misdeeds a couple days before hand and seeking forgiveness from my Heavenly Father. So the moment that I stepped in to the baptismal fount I could feel a weight on my shoulders that was full of my sins. As I was immersed into the water I felt that weight lifted off my shoulders. I knew that my Savior Jesus Christ had taken all those past misdeeds away and I was spiritually clean. What an amazing feeling to know even if it only lasted a short while I was sinless. I can always lean on my Savior and my Heavenly Father from here on out to love me and guide me. I am so grateful for the Gift of the Holy Ghost in my life to testify of them and there love for me.

How I live my faith

In 2010 I have been enjoying studying the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. Each Sunday I attend a sunday school class to discuss the many lessons that are taught in those stories. I have been trying to apply these lessons in my own life to help me live the gospel more fully. My favorite stories so far have been learning about the many righteous women of the old testament. I appreciate the Faith of Hannah and I admire how Ruth took care of her mother in law Naomi. They were greatly blessed by there righteous desires, decisions and actions. I too hope to be like them.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is an organization in the chruch for women. We hold sunday classes to learn, discuss and testify of Jesus Christ and his gospel. We focus on Increasing Faith in Jesus Christ, Strengthening our Homes and Families and Giving Relief. We are a sisterhood. We are Daughters, Mothers, Wives, Sisters, Grandmothers and Aunts and Friends. I am so grateful to be a member of the Relief Soceity. I am strengthened by so many wonderful women who also belong to the Relief Soceity.

To me, Relief Society means friendship. It's an opportunity to know and love and learn from other women from so many different backgrounds and situations and ways of looking at life and yet they are truly my sisters! I can't tell you how many times I have been wrestling with an issue in my own life and there, during the course of our class or other conversation, comes the answer. I know that Heavenly Father so often works through others to answer our prayers, and to me Relief Society is a huge example of that. I'm grateful not only for those who reach out to me, but for the opportunies to reach out to others through Relief Society. It is an inspired program and a wonderful asset to my life!

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We admire Joseph Smith and consider him a prophet of God and follow his teachings as we do with Moses and other prophets of old. The thing that makes Joseph Smith unique amongst prophets is that he helped to bring the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth after a period of darkness which is known as the Great Apostacy.
