Why I am a Mormon

I believe that God restored prophets to the earth in our time starting with Joseph Smith. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

It gives my life direction and meaning. When I live "in the manner of happiness" I certainly do feel happy.

How I live my faith

I spend many hours each week in local church service, attending the temple, and trying to help my family be happy. I attend the temple in St. Louis as often as I can.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes! I believe in Jesus Christ. I study the Bible and live by it's teachings.

I love this question. Having lived in Georgia and having spent time creating friendships with people of all different Christian denominations. I can say with great confidence and vigor that, Yes, Mormons are Christians. All who believe in Christ as our Savior and strive to follow in his footsteps, living as he would have us to, are in definitions Christian or followers of Christ.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are like any other good woman who is trying her best to raise a family in love and trying to leave the world a little better for future generations.

Mormons do believe in equality of men and women. We believe husband and wives are to work side by side, not one dominating over another. But equality does not mean being exactly the same. We believe that God gave men and women distinct and different roles/assignments to fulfill. Men are primarily responsible for the physical welfare of their families while women are to nurture and care for their families. Although the roles are different each one is important and critical.
