Clark: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Clark

I'm a Mormon. I love studying histories of almost all kinds, especially World War II and Church History.

About Me

I am 26 years old and live in Utah with my wife. We're both going to school. I am majoring in History, with hopes to teach college one day or work for the History Channel or the Church History Library or Museum.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but I didn't read the Book of Mormon by myself until I was 17 years old. When I did, I never looked back, however. Therein is where I learned of the truth, with the help of the Holy Ghost.

I am a Mormon because here is where truth, honesty, hard work, integrity, and trust is seen at its apex.

Personal Stories

What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?

There is a couplet which states, "the family that prays together stays together". This is a true statement. My wife and I do our best to pray together both before we go to bed a night, and as we arise in the morning. My wife and I are not perfect, and when quarrels do arise, we have found that prayer is the solution. If we are mad at each other, the moment we pray, the Spirit of the Lord comes to us, and we realize anew that we were both wrong (because it takes two to argue), and must forgive one another as Christ hath forgiven us.

Also, another way in which harmony comes into our home is the reading of Scripture every night for at least 5 minutes. We are currently in the Book of Mormon, in Alma. I love reading the Book of Mormon with my wife, because I receive insight I would not have received by reading alone. The Book of Mormon brings harmony into our relationship because it is "the most correct of any book on Earth, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by it's precepts, than by any other book", as Joseph Smith taught.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily prayer (both alone and with my wife), and daily scripture study (also both alone and with my wife). I try to remember what Jesus Christ would do in any situation. I'm working on saying hi to people I don't know more often.
