Jocelyn: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Jocelyn

Being a Mormon has taught me the value and power of being a woman and a mother.

About Me

Once upon a time, I was a TV Producer. I met and interviewed celebrities, politicians, even kings and queens! Now my days are filled with the joy, blessings, challenges, and messes of my three young children and a husband. I have discovered that no occupation is more divine or ennobling than that of Mother!

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to learn how living the gospel of Jesus Christ leads to peace and happiness from a young age. My mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were all converts to the church. Their testimonies and that of my father built a firm foundation for my own. But it wasn't until I left home that I learned first-hand, how the teachings of this gospel can lead a person safely through rocky waters. I am a Mormon, because during difficult times, the Lord has always been by my side.

Personal Stories

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I try to serve my friends to show them that I love them first and foremost. If a friend of mine is struggling with something, I try to share with them what has worked in my life, the power of prayer, the fact that we have a loving Heavenly Father, the promise that he will guide us and that through the power of the Holy Ghost we can each receive personal revelation for our own lives. We never need to feel alone. The Lord is as close as a prayer.

How I live my faith

I serve in the women's organization of the church, because I love the emphasis on serving others.
I also love to write, so I am always looking for ways to contribute that particular skill at church. I admire the way that each individual is given opportunities to contribute their special skills and talents to serve one another. It makes for a wonderful network of people who help each other and whose talents are valued and needed.
