James: Mormon.

Hi, I'm James

I grew up in Colorado. I record, mix, and restore music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little about me, well to start off I was not always a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a convert, but I will save the story for another section. I love music. I record and mix new music, and I restore old records. I have been married for 5 years and have a healthy baby boy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the teachings of this Church. It was the only Church I had attended that answered questions that I had from attending other churches. I love the Book of Mormon and how it is an additional Testament of Jesus Christ's ministry on this Earth. I know that this Church teaches true doctrines and I know that becoming a member of this Church has blessed me and my family.

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

When I think about the Restoration of the Gospel, I get this warm feeling in my heart. It's the same feeling that I got when the missionaries came to my home and taught me about the Gospel. I know that God restored His Church through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph was visited by our Heavenly Father and His Son. I know that this is true because I studied and prayed. And I know that if people search it out for themselves they will know the truth of this great work.

Could you talk about your baptism?

Before I was baptized I initially had some doubts on if I was doing the right thing. I had attended so many churches, that I didn't know if I was making the right choice. I sat in the chapel waiting for the service to start and as I was praying, I got the feeling that my prayer would be answered after my baptism. I then went to the baptismal font, entered the waters of baptism, and came out knowing that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is the true Church of Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a few different ways. The main way I live my faith is through service, there is a line that says "...service is our religion," and I really believe that. Another way I live my faith is by attending all my meetings on Sunday. I feel that I am blessed with the spirit more throughout the week if I do this. Another way I live my faith is by studying the Scriptures. I read my Bible and my Book of Mormon as often as I can in order to more fully understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
