About Me

I study Graphic Design. I love all the arts, especially illustration and graphic design. I also love music and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the life changing effect the Holy Spirit had upon me as I read and prayed about The Book of Mormon. The book testifies of Jesus Christ, who cared enough for me to put the Bible and Book of Mormon in my life. Jesus turned my life around when I needed it most. Once I felt that redeeming effect of Jesus in my life, I served a full-time two year mission for the church, sharing the good news with all I met. I grew closer to God as I shared his Gospel with others. I feel free of my past mistakes and feel hope for my future. I feel joy in living the way Jesus taught.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings every Sunday and serve in various ways in my local church. I share my talents and those things that God has blessed me with to help others come closer to Him. I read the holy scriptures to learn more about Jesus and His Gospel. I tell others of my experiences with God. I work daily to improve myself because I know that's what God wants for me. I am certainly far from perfect, but I strive to be better each day. I rely on Jesus to take away my mistakes and allow me to move forward.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a collection of the teachings of Jesus Christ as they were taught by God's prophets in the ancient Americas. Thus, the Book of Mormon is not all that different from the Bible. Both are collections of Jesus' teachings through ancient prophets. The difference comes from the location of those prophets preaching. The Bible was written by prophets in europe, while the Book of Mormon was written by prophets in the Americas.

The last prophet to write in the Book of Mormon hid the Book of Mormon away in the Americas after he completed it. Hundreds of years later, God showed Joseph Smith where the book was hidden. After obtaining the book, he translated the ancient writings into english through revelation.

What is faith?

Faith is taking action because of a hope in something. Often the Savior asks of us to do certain things or live in certain ways. When we see a stranger in distress, we stop and help them as Jesus commanded us to in the Good Samaritan Luke 10:25. The act of helping is the evidence of our Faith in Christ. We are asked to tithe. Tithing is evidence of our faith. We tithe in hopes of the promises in Malachi 3:10 that the floodgates of Heaven are open to us.
Faith is when we put our beliefs and hope into action.
