I love to dance, read, sing, listen to good music, hang out with my friends, make new friends, spend time with my sweet husband and be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I've never once doubted the truth of it's teachings. I know more now that this is the true church than I ever have. I don't know where I would be without it. It has helped me so much with difficult decisions in the past and I'm sure it will help me with many more in the future. It's helped me through school, when I've gotten so overwhelmed with everything I have going on at once. I know that this church is true and I'm proud to say I'm a Mormon.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

Making a right choice isn't always the easiest thing to do. We're all human and we all want different things for different reasons. Our Heavenly Father knows each and every one of us individually and wants what is best for us, even if what's best for us isn't what we want. Having that knowledge leads to trusting in Him and praying for guidance to reach those right decisions leading us to what is best for us. The feeling that comes with making good choices will lead to more happiness, more trust in the Lord with other choices in the future, and a desire to continue making right choices.

How I live my faith

I try to be as involved as possible with my busy college life. I participate in a Married Student Ward in my area. I volunteer to help out when I can, like playing the piano at church, for example. I love spending time with my husband and since we were married for all eternity in the temple we have grown closer together spiritually because of the covenants we made there.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is an organization within the church designed especially for women. It teaches the importance of loving your family and others and serving them.

The Relief Society is the organization in the Church where women come together to strengthen, serve, and teach each other. It's Motto is "Charity Never Faileth" which women of the Church live by to bring relief to the weary and down trodden. Women meet as a Relief Society each week to learn about the Gospel and grow closer to Jesus Christ. Women are asked to serve in many capacities within the Relief Society and give of their time and talents. There are also activities where women share skills and do service for those in their community as well as victims of disasters around the world.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Serving a mission is a priesthood responsibility, and young men are asked to sacrifice two years in order to serve others, gain experience as followers of Christ, and grow in their faith. However, that is a choice each individual has to make on their own and deciding not to go does not affect a person's standing in the Church. But those who do go, men and women alike, usually find that two years is not enough time and wish they could stay longer. Service creates bonds of love for the people you serve. I was unable to go in my young adult years, but I still yearn for the opportunity and look forward to a time when I can serve as a missionary.
