About Me

I'm a single, working adult who enjoys photography, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. I just graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Communication. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

There's so much confusion in this world. But, my church teaches me where I came from, why I am here on earth, and where I am going after this life. I find peace and comfort from the teachings of my church. I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and have come to know it is true. I also know we have a prophet on the earth today to lead us and guide us.

Personal Stories

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

I had the opportunity to leave home and serve a full-time mission for the mormon church in the Chicago area for a year and half. I quit my job, put college on hold, and went out to teach others what I know to be true.

It was a life changing experience for me. I met so many amazing people and grew in so many ways. I was able to go door-to-door and talk to people about our beliefs each day. I worked along side another sister missionary. We taught the basic beliefs and doctrines of our faith to those who were interested in hearing our message. We also had the opportunity to do community service on a weekly basis.

Missions are hard work. But, the reason I chose to serve is because I love my Father in Heaven and I know the message I shared is true. I encourage you to locate the full-time mormon missionaries in your area and see what our church is about.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer plays an important part in my life. I know I need my Heavenly Father's help. I know I can talk to Him- tell him my worries, frustrations, and my joys and successes- and He will listen. He loves me and wants to hear from me.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly. I do my best to live what I learn. I do my best to serve others, pray and read the scriptures. Currently, I serve in my church women's organization.

Are Mormons Christians?

Carrie answered...

Yes! In fact, the whole name of our church is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. We believe Him to be the son of God, our Savior, Lord and redeemer. He came to earth and lived a sinless life. He suffered and died for us and was resurrected, so that we can be forgiven of our sins and return to live with our Father in Heaven.

Christ went about doing good. As mormons, we try to follow his example. We are taught to love and serve others, just as our Savior did.

Yes. We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and we follow His teachings. We believe He is essential for salvation.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Phillip answered...

Yes we do! Heavenly Father is the same yesterday today and forever! Today, God has called a prophet to lead and guide us. His name is Thomas S. Monson. He receives revelation for the issues in our day. We can listen to Him and know what our Heavenly Father wants us to do. I know as you follow God's chosen messengers that we can enjoy happiness, safety, and be led back to Him.
