I am a college student living in Provo, UT. I am attending Brigham Young University with aspirations to graduate with a degree in Advertising.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the peace, happiness, and sense of confidence that embodies the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that by following the words of ancient and modern prophets called by the Lord, I can feel a real and lasting connection with my Savior.

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

Through Joseph Smith, the Lord brought about many great and marvelous truths that were previously lost or misunderstood after centuries of interpretation by man.

While he was not in any way perfect, the Lord saw him fit to do many wonderful things that have blessed the lives of millions across the span of almost 200 years. He was, and is, a prophet of God.

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

As we follow the council of the living prophets and apostles, we will find that our families will be brought closer together and closer to God. The prophets will never lead us astray. They are the mouthpiece of the Lord on the earth today.

I know that to be true!

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

The Book of Mormon has brought me closer to God by teaching me more of His great plan of happiness for us. When I understand more this wonderful plan, I begin to feel a greater love and appreciation for a wise and kind God, who has prepared a way for us to return to live with Him again. The Book of Mormon teaches us of Christ's sacrifice that made God's plan for us a reality. All of these teachings bring me happiness and a greater assurance that things will work out for the good of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by earnestly trying to abide the precepts and commandments set forth by the Lord. I try to use social networking to share my thoughts and feelings in regards to the Gospel.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

A husband and wife can be together forever through the Priesthood power of God. Christ gave Peter the power to bind things on earth and in heaven, including relationships between families. That same power has been restored today by God. In holy temples, this sacred power is exercised to bind and seal families through time and eternity. Just as God is love and God is eternal, our love and relationships with our families past, present, and future, can be eternal too.

YES!!! This is one of my favorite parts of the gospel. I believe that my family will live together in heaven. I will know my family as my family members. My husband is my husband for now and for all eternity. My children are my children here on earth and for all eternity. I know that if something happened to one of us that I will see them again. I love this about the church. Before joining, I always had a question about this concept and when taking the discussions from the missionaries this came up. Makes me love the church more and more.

What is the Relief Society?

To me, Relief Society means friendship. It's an opportunity to know and love and learn from other women from so many different backgrounds and situations and ways of looking at life and yet they are truly my sisters! I can't tell you how many times I have been wrestling with an issue in my own life and there, during the course of our class or other conversation, comes the answer. I know that Heavenly Father so often works through others to answer our prayers, and to me Relief Society is a huge example of that. I'm grateful not only for those who reach out to me, but for the opportunies to reach out to others through Relief Society. It is an inspired program and a wonderful asset to my life!
