About Me

I am a Husband and Father. I love life, but find it very difficult and the most rewarding experience also. I am very very passionate too much I think sometimes. I try very hard to be good at what I do to a point of perfection, and it gets in my way of happiness. I love conversations about life. I often find myself motivating others which always seems to motivate me. If I took the advice I give a 10th of the time I would be a better person. I love to Golf, Snowboard, Drive, and Talk.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born a Mormon. I continue to be Mormon because I know Christ lives and guides The Mormon Church. I know this because The Holy Ghost has witnessed to me many times in life he guides this church. Most of the times when I have been taught that being a Mormon was the right thing for me was while reading, pondering, and doubting the Book of Mormon.

Personal Stories

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

Our mission is to help one another. Life is very difficult, and inside and outside the church we are confused, scared, selfish and seeking direction. Everyone inside and out of the church can add value to accomplishing that. The missions of the church is just a clearer more direct way for me to know what God wants us to do for eachother.

What have you done successfully to shield your family from unwanted influences?

I take the time to teach what I have learned, and I always pray for them. I also find a lot of strength by attending The Temple often. Turning off the TV and putting down the phone to play and spending time together is strong way to shield my family from unwanted influences.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

We are blessed and by being blessed we learn to trust in obedience.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I think today Young Men and Young Women go because they want to share what they know and have learned to be true. It's too difficult to go on a mission for any reason other than to share the love you feel for the truth.

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

Nothing compares to it. I love being a part of the restored church, because it is the restored gospel and the guidance needed to understand life. It's the greatest organization on planet earth. No doubt that God lives and that is not easy to know. I think it's the hardest thing to know, but because of restoration I know, and I am so thankful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day to day moment to moment and when I fall which I do I get up and go forward more determined than before to live right. I serve because it fulfills my desire for joy. I have always been a leader in the church, and find it to be one of the greatest gifts I have been given.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

By following his teachings and learning from what he teaches. When you do this we get to know him. He becomes very real by doing this, and that helps us follow and trust His ways.

Simply by trying to. If you have a desire to increase your faith in Jesus Christ, try to do it. Start by praying. Read his words in the Bible. Try to put them into practice. For example, he told us to "love one another." Try and follow that teaching. Be nice to others, help people who might have less than you, smile... As you do so, you will notice a change come over you. You might feel more peace in your life, a calm enter your mind, or a warm feeling that seems to say you're doing the right thing. These things help you realize your faith is growing. Faith is an action word. If you put action behind your belief, I have found that it will grow.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Mormon customs throughout the world do not vary widely. In fact in my travels around the world, the church is one big family which welcomes you as one of their own. Most of the major national and Christian holidays are celebrated Christmas, Easter, New Years when ever oit occurs, and nation's founding, and personal birthdays. Mormons dress up for Sunday services. When traveling, casual, modest clothing is normal. For other activities, any modest attire is acceptable. There are occasional "theme" activities with approprite dress.
