Shelbi: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Shelbi

I'm a mom of 3 boys. I love design, Photography, interior decorating, basketball and healthy cooking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I'm a never-at-home-mom of 3 boys and hopefully more to come. I always wanted to be a mother and have always loved children, but now that I have 3 I realized ... this is harder than it looks :) Being a mom is not only the most difficult thing I have ever done but the most rewarding thing hands down! I have never seen the hand of God greater in my life, than as I have being a wife and a mother.
I love art! I love painting and design, there isn't a white wall in my house! I have run out of places to paint therefore... it's time to move! I love being involved in the community. I'm active in the PTA and church activities. I love sports, running, working out. I love a clean house, and feel that I'm usually working on that! I'm a blogging, jogging, ever loving, serving, working, healthy cooking, always cleaning, head over heals in love with an awesome man, mother of 3 adorable and charming boys. I find my balance in all I do knowing that my heavenly father is there to guide my path.

Why I am a Mormon

I find my hope, salvation and peace in the teachings of Jesus Christ. This makes me who I am! As a young girl growing up it was clear to me that I was the only person who was going to make me who I am, both hear on earth and eternally. There wasn't a fast ticket to becoming clean and pure, and there wasn't a way to slide by and hope that Jesus would excuse my lack of knowledge or omission in my life of important details. I had a point in my life as a young teenager where I knew that I would have to make some choices and I pleaded with my Heavenly Father for help to make those choices. He was there, I felt his strength, I felt my testimony grow, little by little. I relied on those small experiences giving hope for more to come. Continuing in faith knowing he answers my prayers I continued to pray and to be obedient to his commandments. This lead me to a love of the savior that has strengthened me and lead me through difficult times. Times of heartache, depression, forgiveness, repentance and lifted me to endure all things. I know that through Jesus Christ even difficult times can be made light and bearable. I know that I don't have to suffer all things, because he has gone before me and has made it possible to lighten that load in my life.

How I live my faith

I love being involved my church. Not for my sense of belonging, but because maybe, something I have learned along the way can help lift or strengthen someone else. I have been involved in the Youth from ages 8-18 for quite a long time. I love working with youth. I love seeing the potential in their lives. Knowing that this is the time in my life where I made the most important spiritual decisions in my life gives me added enthusiasm to love and strengthen them, that possibly some light will go on in their soul, that they will know that they are NEVER alone. That they will see how important the decisions that they make at this point in their lives are. Whether it's planning fun activities or dances or firesides or teaching them about communicating with the opposite sex... I love working with the Youth program in the Church. All of the opportunities that are here in the church for these youth to learn and grow in every aspect of their life, are a blessing to the whole world.
