I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. I enjoy sewing, cooking, cleaning yep cleaning, jogging, reading, and hanging out with my family.

I taught computer and math classes at the junior high and high school levels. I love teaching many topics. I am currently called to teach in the church's primary organization. I enjoy discussing gospel topics with the children in my class.

My favorite teaching opportunity is teaching my daughter and helping her learn and grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed, and received a confirmation that it is true. I know it sounds simple, but it works if we put our mind and heart into it. Moroni 10:3-5

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Jesus Christ taught the gospel and asked His apostles to do so as well. How else can we share this great message without having missionaries to be set apart to teach the gospel. Everyone is a missionary and has the duty to share the gospel. The missionaries then teach those people the principles needed for joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I was given the opportunity to serve a mission and I thought I was going to serve others, but I feel like I got more out of it then I had planned. Every person I was able to share the gospel with taught me something as well. A mission is such a great opportunity for everyone young and those more experienced. I can't wait to get the opportunity to be a missionary with my husband.

Right now, I get to share the gospel with my friends and family as a member missionary.

How I live my faith

Living your faith should be a daily activity. I live my faith in my actions, thoughts, speech, and activities. It is who I am and who what I strive to do everyday. I strive to let others see my faith through me.

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is a women's organization in the church for all women ages 18 and up. I love Relief Society. I have learned how to live faithfully, increase my testimony, strengthen my home, teach my children, learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ, homemaking skills, and so much more from the women in the church where I am living. We have so many things to teach each other and women need each other to teach and learn from one another.

This organization accomplishes so many things. They meet weekly on Sunday's for a more focused spiritual lesson and then during the week as needed for spiritual, physical, and emotional activities.

The Relief Society is the organization in the Church where women come together to strengthen, serve, and teach each other. It's Motto is "Charity Never Faileth" which women of the Church live by to bring relief to the weary and down trodden. Women meet as a Relief Society each week to learn about the Gospel and grow closer to Jesus Christ. Women are asked to serve in many capacities within the Relief Society and give of their time and talents. There are also activities where women share skills and do service for those in their community as well as victims of disasters around the world.

What is being a Mormon like?

Many people think that being a Mormon is very strict and holds people back from experiencing all that life has to offer. However, I know that it is the exact opposite. In The Book of Mormon, an ancient governor named Pahoran tells us that the spirit of God is the spirit of freedom. I know this principle to be true. The things of the world bind us with feelings of guilt, sorrow, envy, hatred, doubt, judgment, chaos, and confusion. The things of God bring peace, contentment, happiness, joy, satisfaction, clarity, and love. Through family relationships, The Book of Mormon, communication with a loving Father in Heaven, repentance, baptism, church attendance, and making sacred promises in God's holy temple, I have experienced these feelings of freedom. Being a Mormon is not just something I do, it is who I am! Mormonism is not just a belief, it is a lifestyle. This lifestyle has provided me with clarity, purpose, value, and direction. I will forever proclaim the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! It is Christ's true church upon the earth. It is the pathway to true joy in this life and the life to come!
