I am a mother of one adorable little girl and wife to one truly amazing man. I stay at home with her most of the time but I also work part time recruiting for Utah State University in Logan, UT. My husband and I met in Logan while we were going to school there. We both graduated, him with a master's and me with a bachelors. I love to sew, run, bake, really I run because I bake. I also enjoy reading, camping, hiking and really just being with family.
I am a Mormon because at age 15 I really had some questions about the way I was raised. My mom was a convert to the LDS church and had a testimony because she knew the difference between having the church and not. At that point I tried my faith. I had always known the scriptures were true, that is one of my spiritual gifts I guess, so when Moroni challenges all who read the Book of Mormon to pray to know if it is true I took him up on that challenge. I prayed with earnest to a loving Heavenly Father who answered my prayers. I am a Mormon because my Heavenly Father has blessed me to know of the truth of this Gospel, of the words of the prophet. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, because I asked in faith. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ died for me, but more importantly, He lives for me. I know that through the priesthood, which was restored by Joseph Smith, I can receive the saving ordinance of the temple and be with my family FOREVER. I know that we have a prophet today who speaks the word of God, because each General Conference I pray that I will again know that he is a prophet. Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and each member of the Quorum of the Twelve is a seer and revelator in these latter days.
I am a mother of a sweet young girl. Because I know that she is a Daughter of God, I work very hard to teach her about her Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ and their plan for us here on the earth. I also work in the women's organization in our church. I am the secretary in the presidency of the organization. Because of that I am in charge of making sure that sisters come each week, and helping them to understand the importance of attending. I am also in charge of the weekly e-newsletter that goes out to all of our sisters in our ward. I am also in charge of helping any new member to get in touch with the president of our organization to ensure they feel welcome in our ward. I also stay home with my daughter which also allows me to serve others more fully. When sisters in our ward have a baby or just need a helping hand, I try to reach out and be there for them.
