Hi, I'm Nichelle.
I'm a student. I'm a entrepreneur. I'm a daughter, sister and friend. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I was born in Utah, then moved to Oregon during my middle school and high school years. I moved back to Utah at the end of high school. I'm currently studying Social Work and Family/Human Development. I love to sing, laugh, paint, draw, be outside, be with friends and family, and I love helping others around me.
I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have such a strong testimony of my Saviors love for me, personally.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born to Parents who belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I feel greatly blessed to have been so. They taught me so much about Jesus Christ. But it was always my decision to come to church, and when it came to the decision of getting baptized. I have been blessed throughout my life to have had many spiritual experiences to help lead and guide me where I should go with my life.
I am Mormon, and I follow Mormon standards because I know them to be true. I know that, this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, because I have prayed and recieved a witness for myself that this church is true, and its teachings are true. I've made this decision for myself and I'm committed to it, and to my Savior that I love with all that I have to give.
Personal Stories
What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?
In January of 2010, I was in a pretty bad sledding accident. I broke 8 ribs, 3 bones in my back, dislocted my hip and bruised/punctured/deflated my left lung. During a surgery, my sciatic nerve go cut, causing my left leg to be paralyzed below the knee. I've learned to adjust to this new hurdle, and I'm doing great. I can manage quite well and you can't really tell when I wear my ankle brace. I know I wouldn't have survived the initial accident without the protection from my Savior. I've come so far and recovered greatly because of the faith and prayers of those around me. I feel greatly blessed and loved.know that if I hadn't of been faithful to my Savior, I wouldn't have been watched over in the way that I had been. I know the power of the Priesthood has had a remarkable role in my recovery. I I know I'm being watched over, and I am indebted to many, but mainly my Savior, Jesus Christ. I consider this trial, and all trials a blessing in my life. I have learned so much, and I feel so very blessed in my life. I love my Savior, and trust him completely. Proverbs 3:5-6 Sometimes, life is hard and we may not understand why things happen, or why we feel lost or without answers, but we need not fear if we have faith in the Lord.
How I live my faith
I try to live my faith through my actions, thoughts, words and deeds. I always try to spread God's love to anyone and everyone around me. We are all God's children, and we all need each other.
I love the blessing of having callings in this Church. I love my Branch and the experiences and blessings I've received there. I'm currently the one of the Compassionate Service Leaders, Missionary Correspondent and a Visiting Teacher. My unofficial callings are photographer and Hitch. Haha. Just kidding. But, seriously...
I love living my faith, and try to always show that I know I'm a Daughter of God at all times, and that I know of his love for me. I want others to know of His love for them too.
