Hi, I'm Alena
I'm a wife, mother of three and I love my life. My name is Alena and I am a Mormon.
About Me
I am a wife of 14 years and mother of three girls. I am privilaged to teach parents as a Peer Health Professional. I'm a volunteer with my children's schools and I'm getting ready to start a career in insurance. Now that my children are older, it's now time to start a career outside of the home. I have been a member of the church all of my life, but I continue to learn and grow every day. I believe this life is a journey that we have been given and it's up to us what we choose to do with it. I love to learn and hope that I can share those things with others. I'm thankful Heavenly Father allows me to get up every morning with a new chance to get right all of the things I messed up the day before!
Why I am a Mormon
When you are born a member, you generally go thru the motions as your parents guide you. Staying Mormom is a choice that we make as we grow in our own testimonies. I am still a Mormon because my parents gave me a wonderful foundation in the Gospel and I used that to understand for myself that this church is the only one I want to be apart of.
Personal Stories
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
Each of us have been blessed with God-given talents and gifts. We are on this Earth to uplift and serve each other. If you hide the very gifts he has given you, then you are taking away the opportunity for personal growth and serving others. Talents are given, but they can also be lost if we don't use them. It is our responsibility to learn what they are, nurture them, and then share them.
How I live my faith
Each day is a chance to renew ourselves. I use every minute that Heavenly Father has given me to work on better improving myself as a mother and wife. I enjoy my church callings and take each one as a chance to learn and serve others. I attend church regularly and I always go knowing that my faith and beliefs will be strengthened by what I'm going to learn. I love sharing what I know with those around me. Sharing what I know strengthens my faith and gives me hope in my life.
