About Me

I am 30 years old. I am a single mom. I love being the mother of my four little boys. They are 10, 8, 6, and 3 years old. They are my best friends. I am happy. I am very blessed. I love to be outside. I love the Earth. I love to run. Although my life has not turned out as I had imagined, I have learned invaluable lessons that I treasure and they have made me into who I am today. Hope in my savior Jesus Christ is the anchor of my soul.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. I know why I am here on Earth, where I came from, and where I am going after I die. I love the strength and mostly the happiness that flows through me because of this knowledge. The Book of Mormon is true. I know this because I have read it, I have studied it, and I have asked God to help me to know the truth, and He did by the peaceful calm feeling of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is real. I rely on his spiritual guidance daily. I can't imagine what my life would be like without the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

The Plan of Happiness is the most unique part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is truth that opens our spirits to the roots of our purpose here on Earth. I know I lived before I came here. I know I chose to follow Jesus Christ in Heaven. It brings a sense of purpose to my life that is precious and moves me. I love knowing why I am here on Earth, where I came from, and where I am going after I die. I love the strength and mostly the happiness that flows through me because of this knowledge.

How I live my faith

I pray to Heavenly Father. I teach my boys to pray. I teach them they can always count on God. Faith is noticing the good in people around me because I know we are all God's children. I am grateful for life. I love Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

He loves His children. He is a God of creation and happiness. He is merciful. He is generous. He is love.

This question is easily answered in the words of one of the children's songs "I know my [Heavenly] Father lives, and loves me too". We believe in a loving God, who knows us each individually. Another way I know that God loves me because he has heard and answered my prayers many times. Some people think that God is angry, but I do not believe that is so. Matthew 7:11 reads, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to those that ask him?" I think that just explains it all- as parents we want the best for our children. God, our Heavenly parent, wants the best for us, too. As parents, we recognize that giving our children everything they ask for isn't necessarily what's best for them. God does this for us also.

Jesus Christ is the Savior of all humankind, the Son of the Living God, the Messiah, the holy and anointed one of Israel, and He lives today to guide and lead us back to our Heavenly Father.
