Hi, I'm Cynitra
I am a mother and a Navy Veteran. I am a humanitarian for the homeless, the disabled and the needy. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
A Virtuous, Vetrepreneur and Visionary woman making a positive difference in our society one day at a time...I have suffered and sacrificed to bring about the truth to all mankind. I am a true pioneer in my family. I was the first to join the church, followed by my mom who is my only parent that is still living on this earth. My father and both grandparents preceded in death. I am a person that is compassion and seek out for social justice and knowledge. I am currently seeking to pursue my Bachelors of Science in Health Informatics from Western Governors University, then pursuing Master of Science in Instructional Psychology & Technology-MS, and Philosophical Doctorates in Counseling Psychology-PhD from Brigham Young University.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I sincerely researched, investigated, pondered and prayed for the True Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been loved, comforted and befriended by many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love this church. It is different and there is no other church like it. The church truly helps people, and really care about everybody.
Personal Stories
How has the Holy Ghost helped you?
The Holy Ghost has helped me to sustain my life, helping other people, and sharing the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost guides me to do the right things, and show me the right way. I truly LOVE the Holy Ghost with all my heart, mind and body.
Think about your everyday activities. What are things you act upon each day where you cannot see the end results? How does faith move you to action?
I am caregiver that help clients with their everyday household tasks. I love what I do and there are people in the world that still try to undermine my judgment and authority. I struggle to pray more and worry less. I love praying and sometimes I don't say what I specifically want to pray about so the Holy Ghosts helps me by putting a song in my heart to sing and I sing it. When I worry about something, the Holy Ghosts prompts me to write something or I would receive a phone call from someone that can help with my particular problem that I am worrying about. The Holy Ghosts helps me with everything and it cures my anxiety. I love the Holy Ghost so much.
How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?
We can develop greater harmony in our homes by being an example to our children by following Jesus Christ and obeying Heavenly Father commandments. It is very clear in the doctrine of what we to do, rather you read the Holy Bible and/ or The Book of Mormon.
How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?
Yes, The Book of Mormon gave me a better understanding of Heavenly Father's doctrine. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is NOT a replacement of the Bible, and they work together in UNITY. See Ezekiel 37:16-17
How I live my faith
I live my faith by serving as a volunteer to many non-profit organizations including my church Ward. I serve as a Primary counselor fours years and counting, and help organize events and activities. I also founded a nonprofit organization that helps veterans, survivors of domestic violence and mentally ill people...and I serve the homeless and survivors everyday, teaching them literacy skills and giving out information and knowledge.
