Hi, I'm Jesse
I've grown up in Idaho. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm going to school to be a mechanical engineer. I love hiking, camping, backpacking, spending time with family and friends, reading, etc. I'm married to a wonderful daughter of God.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I know that it is the true church. I know by praying about the truthfulness of Jesus Christ my Savior, God our Heavenly Father, the prophet Joseph Smith, and the Book of Mormon. I asked my Heavenly Father if these things were true. The answer didn't come instantly. It took time of continual prayer, faith, and scripture study. I continually follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because as I have followed it during the past, I have felt peace and happiness. I continually follow it because I know it's the right thing to do, and I know the blessings that come from living it. Some other things I have learned from following the gospel is that families can be together forever, I am a precious and literal son of God, there is life after death, and that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us, no matter who we are or what we do.
Personal Stories
Could you talk about your baptism?
When I was baptized, I was eight years old. I knew I was doing the right thing. My parents had taught me about the gospel, and I knew fully of what I was doing. When I came out of the water, I remember feeling a renewed sensation...like I was starting a new life. As it says in the New Testament, I was born again.
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
Prayer is something that I know is precious and sacred. Without it, I wouldn't be as close to my Heavenly Father as I am right now. I know that prayer is a precious communication with our Heavenly Father. Through it, I feel more of God's love and know more about his love mercy and grace.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by serving others...no matter who they are. I continually try to help others to my best ability. I served a mission for my church for two years from when I was 19 years old until I was 21 years old. In those two years, I went to Charlotte, North Carolina and preached/taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to many sons and daughters of God, and I loved every one of them.
