How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I have always cherished the word of God, especially the Holy Bible. The Book of Mormon is another volume of holy scripture, a pure complement to the Bible, and evidence that the Lord lives and loves all of his children here on this earth. Scriptures like the Book of Mormon and the Bible have brought me closer to God and have given me hope despite the challenges of the world.

How I live my faith

I have served in a variety of positions in the church and have enjoyed helping others in each one of these opportunities!

I love this question. Having lived in Georgia and having spent time creating friendships with people of all different Christian denominations. I can say with great confidence and vigor that, Yes, Mormons are Christians. All who believe in Christ as our Savior and strive to follow in his footsteps, living as he would have us to, are in definitions Christian or followers of Christ.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We do not know why some people are attracted to others of the same gender. Is it the way they were born or is it a choice? We simply don't know.

What we do know is that everyone is a spirit child of God, and that He loves all his children. We should love EVERY man or woman who walks the earth, and reserve judgment for our Heavenly Father, who knows and understands all his creations.

At the same time, God has revealed his will on many matters through his servants the prophets. Through them, we know that sexual relations between any but a man and woman, legally and lawfully married, is displeasing to Him. Just as unmarried men and women should remain morally clean, so should those who feel attracted to others of the same gender.
