Hi, I'm Suze
Singing is my life. Other than that, I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
Happily married for almost 7 years to an American boy. I'm Canadian-born and raised, to immigrant parents from Uruguay, South America. I am a mom to four beautiful girls, thanks to blessing of adoption.
I enjoy a variety of things including music, singing, cooking, reading, writing, swimming and so much more.
I'm a hairstylist by trade. I also love photography. I love singing in anyway, shape or form, but lately I've taken up singing in the style of barbershop harmony.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born to parents who were both converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a child I attended church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. When I was about 14 I lost touch with the teachings and standards that the church had to offer and eventually I stopped attending church altogether. For years I wasn't living my life in accordance to what the church teaches. I thought I was happier living in a world where I could do whatever I pleased.
One day our family was visited by the missionaries of the church and they showed us a video called, "Families Are Forever". It was through that video that I realized that Jesus is the Christ that I had always known. It was because of the visit with the missionaries that I decided I needed to get my life in order. I knew I wasn't truly happy and I knew that the only way I could be truly happy was to go back to church, where I could be closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. I was 19 when I came back to church. I remember distinctly the feeling I had as I entered the church building. It was like coming home full of peace and love.
It did take time for me to be sincerely converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ, but I've never looked back. I am a disciple of Christ. I am joyful. I am full of peace. I am truly happy.
How I live my faith
Once a month I teach a class on Sunday to the women of our ward. I love to teach and share my testimony of Christ through these opportunities.
I'm also in charge of choosing and leading the music in our Sacrament meeting. I also lead and direct the ward choir, which is SO much fun and I LOVE every minute of it!
