About Me

I'm a college student with a wife and baby. I'm working part time as a toy designer while finishing up my degree in advertising. I love technology and gadgets, the outdoors, learning and art/design. Love hanging out with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

For me, being a member of the LDS faith has brought me peace of conscience and piece of mind. In a world that continues to get more unstable and loud, I have found that as I live the life that Jesus Christ has laid out for us as revealed by Him, the scriptures and prophets, both ancient and modern, I've been able to enjoy happiness and contentment in my life as well as comfort knowing that God has a plan for me and my small family.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

One thing that we enjoy doing as a family is having Family Home Evening or FHE. This is a suggestion from the Prophet of the Church to get together once a week usually Monday evenings to have a quick lesson on a gospel as a family and some sort of activity and treat together.

For my wife and I it has been a great experience to alternate each week taking turns preparing and teaching a quick spiritual message. It has created moments to discuss gospel topics or simply just to visit and spend time together. It definitely has brought us closer together and strengthened the Spirit in our home.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy my assignment in the church of home teaching. This entails going with another individual from our church and visiting other families in our congregation to share a spiritual message and offer any service that we can. Its here I've been able to make life long friends as I visit with them at least monthly and help and serve in any way that I can.

I also enjoy religious study most everyday. I try to study at least 15 minutes from the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ to help me during the day. Its filled with teachings of Jesus and stories that help me to feel God's love for me and encourage me to be a better person. I usually have a much better day if I've taken the time to study these words.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Ryan answered...

We believe that this life isn't the end of existence. Our spirits are eternal and thus we can enjoy eternal life. Eternal life consists of having our spirits and our physical bodies being joined together in a perfect body. We can then live forever with our families. I can't think of anything better than living together with my wife and our child.

Eternal life is a gift from our Heavenly Father. All he asks us to do to enjoy this blessing is to keep his commandments. When we do all that he has commanded then we can live together with our families forever.
