About Me

I'm from Utah living in Minnesota while my husband is attending graduate school. We love hiking, camping, volleyball, biking, and I love dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because it makes me truly happy and brings me peace. I feel happiness when I spend time with my family and time with my sweet husband. Being Mormon is about family and I love my family and the support they give me. I'm Mormon because it makes me feel so sure about who I am. I know I have so many wonderful opportunities because of a loving Heavenly Father, who has blessed me. I have so much joy in being a Mormon.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

I know my prayers have been answered because I have a wonderful supportive family. I met a wonderful man that is now my husband and we are truly so happy for our eternal marriage. I'm so grateful for everything that I have.

How I live my faith

I think the most important way to live my faith is to always pray and thank my Heavenly Father for my all my wonderful blessings. I know all is well when I am able to do those things that bring me peace such as scripture study, writing in my journal, attending the temple, serving those in need. I love serving, especially my sweet husband and family.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

When married by earthly power and the authority of man, our vows are "Until death do you part."

We believe that families can be together forever as part of our Heavenly Father's Great Plan of Happiness. His Work and His Glory is to bring to pass the exaltation and eternal life of man. He wants us to be even as He is and to return home to live with Him again.

Through the ordinances of his Holy Temples, God's son's and daughter's are able to make covenants. Through the power of His Holy Priesthood, be sealed together for all of time and eternity as Husband and Wife, parents and children.

Families were designed and instituted by God with the intent that they be forever. The love we feel in this life does not need to be cut off when we die. Those who have already died are not lost us forever. God has mercifully made a way by which all who would accept these saving ordinances can do so, living or dead.

We perform these ordinances for those who have in the past died so that they may have the opportunity of accepting them on the other side if they so choose to do so.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

A temple is a house of the Lord, a place where we may worship our Heavenly Father and feel of His presence. It is a sacred place where no unclean thing can enter. Because of the importance and sacredness of the temple, a temple recommend is required and is received based on individual worthiness within the church in order to enter its holy walls.

The temple is where I go to find answers, to find peace, and to feel the Spirit. We are encouraged to go as often as possible and to attend seeking Spiritual guidance. Inside we perform sacred ordinances for ourselves and more often for others, those who are deceased. God requires that all to make covenants in order to return to His presence and many died without the opportunity to make these covenants. In the temple we perform the ordinances for them in their name giving them the opportunity to reject or accept the ordinance and thus enter into the presence of the Father. The temple is a very sacred and holy place.
