I was born into the church and followed most of the teachings. But I struggled to believe everything that was taught when I hit my rocky teenage years. Luckily, I was loved and supported by an amazing family who helped me with my testimony and gave me the strength I needed to stay in the church. I was married in the Provo Utah temple when I was 19 and I've been solid in my faith ever since. My husband and I have been through several hard trials during our 5 years of marriage, each one strengthening us little by little. The hardest trial we were given was losing our son, Gus. Since his death, the journey of finding understanding and meaning through the grief and sadness I dealt with lead me into much more consistent prayer, scripture study, and church attendance. As I began to learn more about the church, I would visit the temple regularly and have been blessed with many wonderful experiences that confirmed the absolute truth of this church to me. I was also given answers to questions I've had for years, sealing my faith even more. Over the past 3 years, my testimony has become solidified and I am blessed with complete trust and knowledge that this is the true church. I can't imagine my life now without the gospel and look forward to watching my children develop their own testimonies in a home filled with love and happiness. I am so grateful to have the knowledge that I will not only be able to see my son again, but I will also be able to raise him in the new millenium. I will watch him grow into the good man that I know he will be and see all the stages of life that I miss here on earth. I'm so grateful for my angel boy, the strength he gives me, and the knowledge that I will be able to hold his little body in my arms again someday. I'm so grateful for the comforting truths taught in this church, that I've been blessed with absolute faith in, and for the direction it gives me to be a good person and live a good life.
The amazing thing about the Book of Mormon is that just reading it consistently makes your life better. I always notice a significant difference in my patience, ability to focus and overall happiness when I read the wonderful truths the Book of Mormon provides every day.
I'm a Ward Missionary and also the ward choir pianist. I try to teach my children about the love and peace this gospel brings me and how it has blessed my life and marriage.
