About Me

I'm a college senior majoring in athletic training. I love to work with people and athletes in helping them to return to peak physical performance when they get hurt. I'm married to my best friend. I love to be in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is a true record. It is exactly what it claims to be. I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Sanits is the one and only true church of Christ here on the Earth. The teachings of this church are divine in nature. I am a child of my Heavenly Father and I know that He is very much aware of me and my circumstances and He wants to bless me as any good father wants to bless his children. I am a Mormon because I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when I go to church and pray to Him and read the scriptures. I am a Mormon because I know that it is all true.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

When we make a correct choice the Holy Ghost will help and guide us even more. On the contrary, when we make poor decisions we distance ourselves from the Holy Ghost and are then less capable of hearing the "still, small voice" of the Spirit. The more bad decisions we make the harder it becomes to turn ourselves around and make good choices. But the more correct choices we make the better we are able to hear the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good citizen and human being. I make mistakes as we all do, but I try to do my part. I teach alongside my wife children ages 4 and 5 about Jesus and his teachings and try to help them understand that they are children of God. I live my faith by praying to my Heavenly Father and trying to do His will. I live my faith by standing up for what is right, even though I may be alone and ridiculed by doing so. I live my faith by trying to do what is right, and by making amends when I make a mistake.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The gift of the Holy Ghost brings divine guidance and direction in our daily lives. The gift of the Holy Ghost brings comfort and peace to our minds and hearts when we are sad, distraught, and worried. We can recieve inspiration and promptings to help us make certain decisions or when we or someone we love is in danger.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Absolutely. If God loved his children in ancient times enough to send them, does He love us any less?

Prophets serve at least 2 purposes.

In the past, Christ Jesus personally called prophets, apostles, evangelists, teachers, deacons, etc, according to the Apostle Paul. He uses such leaders to help move His great work forward, because it is through selfless service that we develop Christ-like qualities and allow us to be one with Him so that we may be One with the Father. Having a living prophet allows the Father to teach hitherto new principles or doctrine to all His children. We can always interpret scripture to meet our intimate needs through personal revelation via prayer and communion with the Holy Ghost. But the greatest acts of service are always done through the synergistic power of communities, whether they are a family or a nation. Our Father in Heaven understands this and he communes with his living prophet, Thomas S Monson, in order to bless the lives of all His children regardless of their circumstances or creeds.
