About Me

First and foremost I'm a husband and father to a beautiful wife and little boy. I love soccer and any outdoor activities. I recently finished college and started an online wedding ring business called www.weddingringsforever.com and love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has always made sense to me. Even were I not a member of this church, I'm confident that the principles taught herein will bring more happiness to any given individual than through any other path in life.
That being said, I do know that the principles our Savior Jesus Christ taught while he was on the Earth are restored in their entirety and found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know our Savior wants us to be happy and return to live with him and our Father in Heaven again. He wants us to return with our families.
I came to know these things and try to continually know them better each day through study, sincere prayer, and putting into practice these principles I believe to be true.
How could I not be a Mormon? This is where true happiness is found in the most abundance for me.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

The most influencing reason I chose to serve my mission in Spain was because of eternal families. To know that a family can live together eternally, not solely until 'death do you part' was such an important message to me that I wanted to share it with everyone possible. It was a short time to spend away from my family in hopes that others could spend time with their families forever.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of my every day life in the following ways:

- I have a chance to serve in the nursery during church, watching all the little kids so that their parents can serve in their callings and enjoy lessons.

- I have a chance to visit in the homes of my neighbors and bring a spiritual message to them once a month.

- I carry 'pass-a-long' cards with uplifting messages to hand out to those I might see in need.

- I do my best to 100% honest 100% of the time.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. During the Savior mortal life the prophets and apostles wrote of his teachings in the Bible. We know that there were people living on the other side of the Earth at the same time. Because God loves ALL his children, on all the Earth, he sent the Savior to teach the same principles in the Americas after his resurrection. The Book of Mormon is different in that it tells their story, from the Americas, but the same because God's teachings would be the same to all his children.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Modesty is almost a precursor for chastity. They are the built upon the doctrine of the sanctity of our body. By being modest in our actions and dress we outwardly show our understanding that we, as a soul, are more than just an object to be flaunted. Our body is a gift from God and he has asked us to save intimacy until after we are married. We show respect for him and ourselves if we hold off until marriage and always dress and act modestly. This principle can be taught to children through example, first and foremost, but also by being honest and explaining to them the importance of it and why we are asked to live it. Use the Holy Ghost as your guide as you teach your children.
