Ben: student, moderate, Mormon.

Hi, I'm Ben

I'm a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, son, brother, student, avid reader, news junkie, untrained music lover, photographer, nature lover, wannabe film critic, and history buff.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be Mormon because I can trace every good thing in my life to me and my family trying our best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Personal Stories

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?

"...Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" Matt. 2540. I love the simple yet powerful teaching of Christ that the best way to serve God is to serve His children. I credit my parents with teaching me to find joy in service. I remember one time going with my father to do some repairs for an elderly woman in our congregation. In the car on the way home he told me, "Ben, helping people is what the Gospel is all about." I'm not perfect, but I try my best to follow this most basic teaching of Jesus Christ. Being kind to and serving others simply makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to help people. The organization of the Church offers ample opportunities to serve. I have had the opportunity to do everything from pay monthly visits to a widow in my congregation to spend two years sharing my faith with people searching for meaning in life. To me, living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about serving my fellow beings, in and out of the Church.
