About Me

I am a graduate student earning a PhD in Social Psychology. I am married and have a little boy. I love to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, play video games, play sports, and spend time with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because many of the doctrines taught in the Gospel help to answer some of the biggest questions that I have had about life. Things like where did I come from, what is the purpose of life, where am I going after this life are all questions that the Gospel helps to make clear.

Personal Stories

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ brings hope to my life. Knowing that he knows what I am going through when times are hard, and that because of him death is not the end of our existence brings great peace to my life.

How I live my faith

Giving service to others is one of the ways in which I live my faith. Helping others is a big focus of my faith since our ultimate example is Jesus Christ and he spent his life giving service to others.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet on the earth today. He leads and guides this church through inspiration and revelation from Jesus Christ. Just like prophets in old times like Abraham and Moses, God has given us a prophet today to help us know his will.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

We want everyone to be able to enter the Temple and feel of the sweet and beautifully peaceful aroma and spirit there. A Temple is a holy and sacred place. Unlike regular church buildings which are also sacred, Temples are specially reserved as places to be separate from worldly influences. Therefore, only those who are living such a life may enter, so as to preserve the Temple's sacredness. But we want everyone to qualify so that they may enter and feel of that spirit. It isn't hard to qualify, but it does take some effort. All that is required is for one to live a Christlike life with a heart that only desires to do good.
