About Me

I like to be goofy and do crazy fun stuff. I dirt bike, ski, and fishing with my family. I am attending college and doing a science major. I am athletically declined, but I enjoy doing physical things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but I did not really get my own testimony until I was a teenager. I learned, through the Holy Spirit, that Jesus Christ is the Savior and that He knows and loves me personally. I have discovered the miracle of forgiveness in my life and I know He loves us all enough to forgive us and make us clean and purified through His atonement. I have learned for myself that my Heavenly Father loves me and tries to teach and bless me. The day to day things, like reading the scriptures and praying, build my testimony to the point where I know that my Redeemer lives and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church on earth.

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

It has given me comfort in times of need and give me happiness all throughout my life. He gives me strength, courage, and wisdom from God to bless my life.

How I live my faith

I keep myself on the straight and narrow path by always trying to forget about myself and serve others. One way I do this is making frequent trips to the temple. I can feel God's love for me in there and He guides me to be better. I always make sure that if I feel like I should not be praying to my Heavenly Father that I get down on my knees as soon as I can and open up my heart to Him because I know that He would never want me to not pray to Him. I love Him, but more importantly I know He loves me.

What do Mormons believe about family?

The family is ordained of God and a central to His plan of happiness. He wants us to love our family and do our part to build a happy home. Families who are sealed in the temple cannot be separated by death, but have the opportunity to be together forever.

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Absolutely! Heavenly Father loves us, His children. He loves us so much that He listens to our prayers. He also loves us so much that He has given prophets throughout history to lead us, teach us, and guide us.
