About Me

I am a full-time mother and wife as well the owner of an event company. Every day is a balancing act. In the rare free moment I enjoy reading, digital design, & outdoor recreation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the LDS faith. While the principles I had been taught lead me to good choices, it wasn't until I sought to know the truth for myself that I personally was converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Living the gospel principles has brought me more joy and peace than I could possibly describe and daily I am reminded of the Lord's hand in my life. I know God lives. I know Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. I know that the fullness of truth has been restored through Joseph Smith and God continues to speak to us today through a living prophet.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

We are free to make our own choices, but we are not free to choose the consequences of those choices. If we choose poorly, the natural consequences will often lead to limited freedoms down the road. Making right choices always leads to peace, happiness and even greater abilities to choose freely in the future.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my ward as a teacher for the Young Women. How I love those girls!!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Every person must find the truth for themselves. You must listen to the feelings and impressions in your heart as you learn about the teaching of the Mormon faith. You then need to ask God in sincere prayer if these things are true. Just keep your mind and heart open to the answers and they will come.

Live it. If you can commit to yourself and God to give all you have to discovering for yourself if the church is true through living the principles taught and asking God, in the name of Christ, to reveal the truth to you, I can give you my personal witness you will feel in your heart the comforting reassurance that you have found the truth. Moroni 10:3-5

What is a ward/stake/branch?

To make the administration of this world-wide church possible, the church is organized into geographical regions and sub-regions. The most basic administrative unit is called the "ward". The wards in the church vary in size but are comprised of a geographical area with anywhere from 300 to 700 members. The ward is presided by a bishop. A group of five to twelve wards are combined to form a "stake". A stake is presided by a stake president.
In regions of the world where there is a lesser concentration of members, "branches" are formed. These branches are equivalent to wards but usually have less members. A branch is presided by a branch president.
This organization makes it possible for 14 million members to each have local leaders that can provide guidance, teaching, and administering of the sacred ordinances of the gospel
