Hi, I'm Nate
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a currently a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in Billings, Montana. After the mission I will be going to college to be an attorney. I have moved all over the country my whole life.
I am a workaholic and have done mostly sales work. I plan on trying to work for the Disney Company. I am a big Disney Geek.
I love my family. I am the youngest of four. 2 of my older siblings are married with children.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born and raised in the church. Contrary to popular belief this does not mean that I was just brainwashed my whole life and this is all I have seen or known. Whether you are born in the church or you join later in life everyone has to go through the same process to find out if it is true.
I did the exact same thing I ask all of the people I teach to do. I studied the Book of Mormon, attended church and pondered what was happening. To find out if it is true I went to a private place and got down on my knees and asked my Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true, if Joseph Smith was a Prophet and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true and living church on the earth. I had the most overwhelming feeling of warmth come over me. The only thing I can think to describe it as is like I was given a big hug of comfort and love by my Heavenly Father. I knew it was true. I did. I didn't have to rely on anyone else for my testimony. I had my own. It was true and there was no way I could deny it. I still know it. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God, that as a young boy he walked into a grove of trees and saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and that he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's mouthpiece on the Earth today. A modern day Moses. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I know that He loves us and knows us individualy. He has joy in our successes and sorrow in our failures. I know that whenever I am struggling with something, there is someone who understands perfectly and has cried that exact same tear as me.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons go on missions?
We go on missions so that we can spread the blessings that we have been given. If we have this, and we truly know that it is the truth we want to spread it. It brings such joy to your heart when you are able to see another person grow in the gospel.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by serving. As I stated I am currently a missionary serving for two years. Our purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them restored gospel through Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End.
I do this will all my heart and soul. I love the gospel. I love helping others feel it. What's the use of having the truth if you're not willing to share it?
