Darrold: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Darrold

I grew up in Minnesota. I served in the military. I'm a Disabled Veteran. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a disabled veteran and I work for the VA. I served in the USMC from 1996 to 2000 up until I was medically discharged. I love to help and serve veterans and to assist them in getting any help that they might need. My favorite hobby is geneology but I also love to play the clarinet. I also enjoy things like fishing, biking, camping, etc. I have a bachelors degree in Business Administration and I'm thinking about going back for a Masters in finance.

Why I am a Mormon

A couple of missionaries knocked on my Grandfather's door and he let them in. Through my Grandfather, my Mother was baptized into the church even though her family was against it and they were members of the Reorganized LDS Church. I was raised as a member but I gained my own testimony just after I turned 19.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

We want our ancestors to be able to enjoy the same blessings that we have the opportunity to enjoy through the blessings of the temple sealing. My Grandpa's and Grandma's want to be together forever too!

How I live my faith

I try to live as my Savior would and I'm striving to receive personal revelation on what the Lord wants me to do. I always try to treat others as I want to be treated and I'm striving to teach my children to do the same. I volunteer my time to assist others with family history research and helping to support our family history library.
