Steele Kizerian: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Steele Kizerian

Happily married to the best person I know. Love to laugh, play games, & work hard. Ping pong & bowling champion &...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California with my parents, two older brothers twins and younger sister. I graduated in Business Management and am currently getting my Masters in Education. Currently, I am a corps member with Teach for America and teach Kindergarten in the inner city DC Metro area and love it.

I love to read, play board games (Trouble, Sorry, Uno). I absolutely love all sports, especially soccer and volleyball. I am known to be a great ping pong and foosball player. I speak Spanish and love meeting new people from all cultures and all faiths.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it brings me closer to Jesus Christ. He is central to God's plan and to my core faith. It is through Him that I am saved and receive strength to endure and overcome hard times. I love Christ. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I am filled with warmth, peace, and joy when I am at church, read the Book of Mormon, read the Bible, serve others, and keep the commandments of God. I am Mormon because there are living prophets and apostles on the earth that have authority permission from God to be His mouthpiece just as there were in the Old and New Testament times. I am a Mormon because I can be with my family forever and death is not the end. I am a Mormon because I would not be as happy and full of joy that I am/have if I were without it. Life is hard. It is not easy. Bad things happen to really good people. For that reason, I am Mormon because it gives me strength, power, and perspective

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

The gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored brought back to earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. We do not worship Joseph Smith. We reverence him as we do Moses. We love him and respect him because he listened to the voice of Christ and God and was obedient to their command. It is through Joseph Smith being a true and valid prophet that we can participate in the full blessings of Christ's glorious love and atonement. We can now be baptized by those who the authority of God to do so. There is modern revelation today. I love the Bible and cherish its teachings. In addition, I love the Book of Mormon for it teaches me about Christ as well. It does not take the place of the Bible. Simply it is another testament. And to be honest, I wish there were more testaments! I would never limit myself to only one. For if there are words of Christ out there, I want to know them. I want to hear them. I want to read them. i want to feel them. The whole point of the Restoration is not on Joseph Smith or the Book of Mormon, rather on Christ and how those two things bring us closer to Him and to our dear Father in Heaven. It is true and this has changed my life forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I work with each person in my ward congregation and try to help them develop faith in Jesus Christ and follow His example. I work with the missionary efforts in our congregation. I try to reach out to those who may have "wandered" or those who are looking for answers to true, deep questions in life. I teach the gospel of Christ and strive to share it with all I come in contact with. Each day i strive to be more like Christ through daily prayer, scripture study, and acts of faith. I am not perfect, far from it. But I live what I love and that is God and my faith.
