About Me

I am a stay-at home mom to three little boys by day and a student by night. I don't have a lot of free time, but when I do I enjoy going to concerts, listening to lots of different kinds of music, sewing, making cute and practical things, baking, and just having fun. I love shoes! I'm learning how to make jewelry and am always looking for ways to simplify my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is important to me. Everything I do revolves around them and they are my #1 priority. I love knowing that I can be with them forever. Death does NOT do us part.

Personal Stories

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

I have noticed that the music we listen to has a HUGE effect on our boys. When they start to get aggressive or angry, putting on calming music- or at least music with a positive, upbeat energy- can make all the difference in the world.

How I live my faith

I teach my children to be kind, respectful, and to set a good example. I work with the children at church, too, and my favorite part is when I teach a lesson to a big group and 3-11-year-olds and they totally get it! They understand and know that God loves them.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost has helped me SO many times in my life. He helps me know what is right, avoid things that are not, and warns me of danger. It is not like having someone talk to you. It is a feeling of peace or a subconscious, nagging thought. I can choose to ignore those thoughts or feelings, but they have never steered me wrong.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

As a local Bishop in the Church, I can assure you that we do not limit our help to members. We perform numerous acts of service to our friends in the local community, and we do it gladly because we know service brings us and them great blessings of happiness and satisfaction. Our world wide disaster relief program brings food, clothing, water, sanitations kits and medications to our nonmember brothers and sisters around the world, quickly and effeciently. As Mormons, we know we are fellow citizens of the world and that all peoples are part of our Heavenly Father's family, and we try hard to act accordingy.
