Hi, I'm Erika
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a wife, a confidante, a friend. A person who prides herself on being loyal, honest, and true. I love the arts and I love to dream. I hope to be a mother someday, but until then I am content and feel blessed to have so many neices and nephews to share my love with.
Why I am a Mormon
I joined the Church in 1997. I had been feeling like something was missing from my life for quite sometime and wanted God to be a greater part of my life. I had always had Mormon friends and had some exposure to the Church at a young age but in all honesty wasn't interested at all, until one Sunday. I went to church with one of my friends and by the end of the day I was meeting with the missionaries and had already commited to baptism. It just made sense to me and filled in all the gaps that I was feeling in my life. I am a Mormon because I believe that God still talks to His children. I believe that I am His daughter and that I have a specific purpose and plan for my life. I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is from God. It is additional scripture. I am Mormon because I got down on my knees in humble prayer to my Heavenly Father and asked the question...and he answered!
How I live my faith
Of course I do all the outward things. I go to church on Sunday's and I serve in the Church but when I think about "how I live my faith" it goes beyond just the normal activities. I try to live my faith by action and example. I try to do as Jesus would do. I strive to make my values known in my daily actions and serve those around me. I try to be a friend and show kindness in all that I do. I am certainly not perfect at it! But, I do my best to maintain an attitude of gratitude!
