I'm a Spanish speaking, cooking, Sprouts meat clerking Mormon.

About Me

I work in the meat department of Sprouts in Colorado. I love to cook and greet everyone with "Hi, friend!", I grew up in Vegas so I'm very familiar with different walks of life. I enjoy sports but I'm not the MVP. I attend the free New Testament class offered at the Ft Collins Institute of Religion . I am the youngest of three with a brother and sister. I love flower gardens, parks and frozen yogurt. I'm reliable for my outgoing personality.

Why I am a Mormon

I know I can turn to God for guidance. I talk with Him like I talk to my mom, just through prayer instead of the phone.
It's true...the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored and His true and living church is directed by apostles and prophets today, just as in His time. I love Him and follow Him, and trust in His atonement to make the unfair things in life fair.

Personal Stories

Could you talk about your baptism?

I was dressed in a white dress. I entered the water and I felt a warm smile come to my face. I came out completely drenched and I felt I would never make a mistake again. I felt I was glowing.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

To share the gospel, keep the promise made at baptism, and become more like the Savior. Share the truth that makes a broken family and loving home.

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I take them to the different activities such as social events and institute or religion classes that discuss the scriptures and principles of the gospel. I invite to hang out to see what a Mormon party is like. I listen to my friends and share my witness of the love the Heavenly Father has for them and their potential as His children. I live what I teach.

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

Just as different instruments make up a symphony, when in harmony and practiced, beautiful melodies are heard. The same goes for talents whether in arts or sports or the gift of patience. My talent is to always smile and make the lonely person feel accepted. How many lonely people could benefit for my talent? I also have a talent to cook. I bless many with my cuisine. I've studied the scriptures for years. I can answer many questions with my testimony.

How I live my faith

I give what I've been given. I live my life by the teachings of God's ancient American prophets in the Book of Mormon and today's prophets.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

You definitely can learn about the Gospel of Christ (Faith, Repentence, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End) from the missionaries and then follow the steps to apply these in your life. When you truly live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will do this thorugh the proper preisthood authority of God. A natural consequence is becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Mormons believe that grace is a vital part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. We believe that it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do. The good works of an individual coupled with the grace of Christ can lead us to salvation. The grace of Jesus Christ is also an "enabling power" that gives us the strength to bear up under the burdens and trials of life. I have found great strength by relying upon the grace of Christ at times in my life when there was nothing else to provide it. Many times, I have been enabled to perform daily tasks, church assignments, responsibilities as a father and husband that were well beyond my personal abilities. I know that this was the enabling power of the grace of Jesus Christ. Grace is Christ's power to save me after this life and His power to help me while still here on the earth. I must always do my part through faith repentance and good works, but I know that in the end, it will be His grace that will save me.
